TX - Texas Equusearch founder questions future following thefts

  • #21
I just said this over in Elaina's thread but my son's football team has been searching for a project to honor Ethan Stacy, our hometown angel. I'm going to approach them about raising funds for TES and donating in Ethan's memory. Maybe others could suggest the same to honor their local angels. What better way to honor a "missing" child than to support an organization that strives to bring them home.

i'm so happy the community is stepping forward......i wish i could, but know he will be fine now...

Randy Hartley, whose admiration for the group's volunteer work grew through news coverage, donated $3,000. He'd never met Miller until now.

"To me that is the most wonderful thing you guys could do, is to help poor, unfortunate people out, helping them find their loved ones that are missing," Hartley said.

Millers says the donations will help him keep a promise he made long ago during a tearful time.

"I just remember every minute of them 17 months. And when Laura's body was found, I really remember taking a sigh of relief, that at least I know -- not what I wanted to know, at all. And I just made a promise to God and Laura, I would never leave a family alone if there was anything we could ever do," Miller said.

Hartley says if his original donation of $3,000 is matched, he'll donate another $3,000.

This is from a link on page 1 of this thread:

His daughter, then 16, disappeared in 1984 from League City. At the time, Armentor was her boyfriend.

"I'm sick about it," Miller said of the theft allegations. "That was my daughter's boyfriend and would have been my son-in-law.
It's a disgrace to Laura and a disgrace to EquuSearch."

Armentor became a suspect after the group's treasurer noticed some unexplained cash withdrawals on its credit card statement, Miller said.

After reviewing surveillance video from automatic teller machines, Miller said he was surprised to discover that Armentor was making the withdrawals.

"I nearly broke down and cried when I saw him on the video," Miller said. "I've always been there for him."

According to the link below, no one was ever arrested for her murder and case remains unsolved. I'm wondering at this point how thoroughly the 'boyfriend' was investigated?

I am so glad to see so many coming forward at their time of need. I donated a couple of days ago and will again. It is very easy to donate when you go to their website.

I would be shocked if TES had really thought they would recover a penny from any of the Anthony family. Just sayin'.. Casey hasn't paid for anything yet that I know of. Loser of the world.
