KXDJ Interview with Tom's Mom, Part 1

KXDJ Interview with Tom's Mom, Part 2

KXDJ Interview with Tom's Mom, Part 3

Of particular interest in Part 3 is a discussion about Michael Caseltine being a person of interest in the investigation. There is a discussion concerning the suicide of MC's father Jeff Caseltine shortly after the discovery of Tom's remains. The way Penny explains it, MC was considered a person of interest because he hung out with Tom the day Tom disappeared. Additionally, JC specifically referred to the impact the investigation had on his family within his suicide note. Penny states that the Attorney General's office and the Texas Rangers were looking into the suicide because MC had been a person of interest and because of the contents of the note, although the note was not a confession implicating JC in any way.

EDIT to add that it was investigator Klein and not Penny who told KXDJ interviewer Chris Samples that JC's note was not a confession note, but that it did refer to the impact the investigation had on his family.

If one knew where to look today, there has been a public letter that addresses the section I highlighted. I cannot post *who* posted it as that would be sleuthing, but if one did some poking around, there is a general denial by some that anyone in their family has been investigated at all.

And thats all I will say....

Klein has a mini-update on his fb page. Nothing new, just saying to be patient and they have viable leads.

I’m on my phone and can’t get it to link correctly or I’d post a link.

“Political problem”?
The Moms4Tom Facebook page has shared the post by Klein, adding, “Please know that when KIC says ‘political problem’ they are NOT suggesting Rep. Ken King and/or his family.”

“As the investigation continues into the death of Canadian teenager Tom Brown, KXDJ’s Chris Samples shares a piece of his interview with private investigator Philip Klein.

‘I don’t speak for the Attorney General’s office, but I know they are working very hard. They were up in Canadian last week, very quietly, they came up to assimilate some evidence. Our team has completed its initial review of the case. Sometimes you miss some things. We did have a couple of things that we are concerned with that we feel need to be reexamined. So, we have begun that,‘ Klein told Samples.

Around 0’30”: PK says, “A couple of our team members will be up that way, Wichita Falls, this next week, to do some interviews.”

Around 0’50”: PK says, “The third thing is probably the most important thing that we have going is that there were two interviews that we had conducted during the course of [inaudible] of trying to find Tom. Those interviews, at first, seemed like they were exaggerated by some of the people we interviewed, I’m not willing to discuss who they are, but we’ve now gone back and listened to those interviews and watched them actually on video, and there were some nuggets in there that we kind of ignored, because we were [inaudible] of trying to find Tom, but they did give us a good layout of what we long thought all along had happened.” (BBM)

What’s in Wichita Falls!?
ETA:
“In addition, its central business district is 5 miles (8 km) from Sheppard Air Force Base, which is home to the Air Force's largest technical training wing and the Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training program, the world's only multinationally staffed and managed flying training program chartered to produce combat pilots for both USAF and NATO.”

“Wichita Falls is home to Midwestern State University, an accredited four-year college and the only independent liberal arts college in Texas offering both bachelor's and master's degrees. A local branch of nearby Vernon College offers two-year degrees, certificate programs, and workforce development programs, and also Wayland Baptist University, offering both bachelor's and master's degrees, whose main branch is located in Plainview, Texas.”

No idea. I am in Wichita Falls and have not heard anything about Thomas on the news or about the PI coming to town (not that I really would though).

Klein has issued a statement, but doesn't really say anything .

Klein Investigations and Consulting

Media Statement : Late last week we were made aware of the letters sent to the defense bar in Hemphill County Texas from county attorney Kyle Miller and 31st District Attorney Franklin McDonough. The letters indicated Sheriff Nathan Lewis and deputy Pine Gregory were under investigation by the The Texas Rangers. We have no comment to the specifics of the investigation, however, we will repeat what we have previously stated which is Hemphill County has a serious political problem that the voters must face. The Tom Brown case continues to be very active.

Sounds like they are being very careful not to make a direct statement correlating the investigation of NL with the TB case, probably for legal reasons, but that is the obvious elephant in the room. At the very least, NL is incompetent and totally bungled the investigation. At worst, he participated in a murder and coverup. Sounds like justice is coming for NL.
