I think those are different UID's. Maybe they identified the one from Dec 2 and it just did not get publicized? JMO

The height is still an error. The Harris County document has 61" to 68" so still that correction needs to be made. I was confused, too.
12/2 Colonial Parkway, Katy no update.

Maybe ask for an update then for the 12/2 remains.

In nearby Liberty County, NamUs 13492 has a found date of Dec 6, 2015. (future date.) Min/Max Age both 23 years, but this is most likely Christopher Maes.

But NAMUS did correct the height (they gave him an additional ten inches!) for the UID I emailed them about. And DNA is still pending...:waiting:

Nate, I haven’t heard anything about Trung for a long while. I noticed the body found was middle-aged and had significant skull surgery involving holes drilled and a metal plate (yikes), and I think that would have been mentioned by his relatives. But keep looking!

I checked and his Facebook is back up.

Not sure how many if any still watch this thread, but I've been active in the past week in this case because of unidentified remains found 30 miles away, in Minnetex, Houston, from where his phone was found in Katy. They were just found a month ago, and in the past few weeks they've been updated; I think there's a possibility it could be Trung, even down to a possible (not sure if accurate) description of the clothes he was wearing.

I've contacted the regional case specialist on NamUs and this morning got confirmation multiple forensic investigators at Harris County IFS will look into the two cases.

If anyone's interested, here is a Google Maps setup of all the different locations: his hometown of Stafford, the phone outside a Farmington apartment, the Walmart Supercenter, and the coordinates of the remains. I'd love any feedback on this theory, though I know the two are probably completely unrelated.

Details of Disappearance​

Ngo was last seen in Katy, Texas on January 15, 2013. He told his family he was going out to meet friends. He was driving a gunmetal-gray 2004 Nissan Infiniti G35 with the Texas license plate number BP2 L036; a photo of it is posted with this case summary.

He has never been heard from again. After his disappearance, his cellular phone was found lying on the roadside in front of the Farmington apartment complex off north Fry Road and Franz in Katy.

Foul play is suspected in Ngo's disappearance; he may have been taken against his will. He worked as an electrician in 2013 and lived with his brother and another roommate. His case remains unsolved.
