Person of interest in disappearance of San Antonio mom, murder suspect in separate case

Mediola says she tracked her sisters location as she traveled home.

"I was able to track her all the way down to Highway 173 at 10:22 am, she she was between Hondo and Castroville when her location was off."

last seen with a gentleman by the name of Chance Stelzig, he is a person of interest in this case, at this point we can't rule out foul play, " said Officer Alisia Pruneda, a spokesperson with the San Antonio Police Department.

Chance Stelzig is currently in the Bexar County Jail charged with murder. In June, Stelzig was indicted by a Bexar County Grand Jury. The indictment alleged that on November 17, 2019, Stelzig beat a man to death with a baseball bat.

Oh man. Beats a man to death and a week or so later is seen with this gorgeous woman?

Prayers, hope, and faith.

I believe C.S. is very much responsible for her disappearance. I can only hope she got away and is still hiding. Although odds are she'll be recovered having lost her life to blunt force trauma from a baseball bat. :(

 Goodness gracious he is a dangerous man who runs with a dangerous crowd. All that rage for a robbery? There's got to be more going on behind these crimes.

IMO the article's wording is confusing -- 2 men/2 separate murders ? Are these murderers connected? Were Chance and Thomas 2 of the 3 men who killed Mr. Rodriguez? Who's the 3rd guy who ran from the crime scene? What did Valerie know about all of this that caused her to disappear within days? Hmm...

SAPD seeking public's help in locating two alleged killers
  • two men accused of two separate murders
  • trying to locate Chance Stelzig, 26,
  • accused of killing 46-year-old Faustino Rodriguez on Nov. 19, 2019
  • Witnesses told police they saw three men running from the scene, and one was carrying a bat.
  • also searching for 38-year-old Thomas Debrow, who is accused of murder Johnathan Williams on February 1st

Where is her car?
Has it been located?
Where is her cell phone?
Who is using it?
Who turned off the direction app?

Who's the 3rd guy who ran from the crime scene? What did Valerie know about all of this that caused her to disappear within days? Hmm...

What gang or group is Stelzig involved in?
Does he live/operate from Fort Worth?
Has her family spoken to the media?

"We need help, this is not like my sister, " said Roxanne Mendiola, Ingorvaia's sister. Mendiola says her sister is a loving, outgoing mother of five, for their mother Catharina her daughter's disappearance is unbearable.

She is a mother of five, missing since last Thanksgiving.

Through Google Maps, Mediola says she tracked her sisters location as she traveled home. "I was able to track her all the way down to Highway 173 at 10:22 am, she was between Hondo and Castroville when her location was off." Mendiola says her sister never turned off her location.

Not sure what that means.

Chance Stelzig is currently in the Bexar County Jail charged with murder. In June, Stelzig was indicted by a Bexar County Grand Jury. The indictment alleged that on November 17, 2019, Stelzig beat a man to death with a baseball bat. Mendiola says she and her mother didn't even know about Chance Stelzig or that he was traveling with Valerie to Fort Worth.

Chance was in the car with Valerie.
Chance is now in jail.
Valerie is missing.

San Antonio Police say Ingorvaia's disappearance is a joint investigation between with Fort Worth Police Department and San Antonio Police Department.

Valerie Ingorvaia – The Charley Project

Distinguishing Characteristics
Hispanic female. Brown hair, brown eyes. Ingorvaia has multiple tattoos covering much of her body, including a red diamond on the back of her left shoulder, a masked face on her upper left arm at the shoulder, a rose on her left shoulder, the words "MISS INDEPENDENT QUEEN" across her upper chest and collarbone, Asian characters in the center of her chest, Asian characters on both sides of her chest, the phrase "I love Chubby Bunny" on the left side of her chest, the phrase "I'm Your Ride or Die" on the right side of her chest, a design of floewrs and a dragonfly on her right upper arm at the shoulder, the words "'til death" in black script on her ring finger, tattoos on both sides of her upper back, and a tattoo on her lower back. Photos of some of her tattoos are posted with this case summary. Her ears, nose, upper lip and eyebrow are all pierced. Ingorvaia may use the last name Perez. She wears eyeglasses.

Details of Disappearance
Ingorvaia was last seen in Fort Worth, Texas on November 28, 2019. She had attended her family's Thanksgiving meal and was heading back to her own home in San Antonio, Texas, in a black four-door truck. The Google Maps app on her phone indicates she was on Highway 173, between Hondo and Castroville, at 10:22 a.m. on November 29 when she stopped and turned her location tracker off, which is uncharacteristic of her behavior. She has never been heard from again.

Ingorvaia was last known to have been with a man named Chance Stelzig. A photo of Stelzig is posted with this case summary. In March 2020, he was charged with murder; he and two other suspects allegedly beat a man to death with a baseball bat on November 17, 2019, less than two weeks prior to Ingorvaia's disappearance. The murder, which took place in San Antonio, may have been a robbery gone wrong.

It's not clear whether Ingorvaia's disappearance is related to the previous murder, but her mother and sister stated that prior to Ingorvaia's disappearance, they did not know Stelzig or that he was with her in Fort Worth. He is considered a person of interest in Ingorvaia's case, but hasn't officially been named a suspect.

Both Fort Worth and San Antonio police are investigating Ingorvaia's disappearance. She left behind five children. Her case remains unsolved and foul play has not been ruled out.

From 2011 - OMG just how much murder can someone be exposed to? Poor girl:

"Valerie Ingorvaia, who also sat with Barea-Torres as he died, said she was the one who revealed to Johnson over the phone that day that mutual friend Randi Flores was dating Vela. The defendant arrived at her apartment about 15 minutes later and broke her door as he slammed it open, angrily asking where Flores was, Ingorvaia said.

“He had like the ugliest look on his face,” Ingorvaia said. “He looked at me and pointed at me and said, ‘Don't tell Randi I'm looking for her.'”

Ingorvaia said she encountered Johnson again at the apartment complex a short time later, after he had found Flores and was yelling at her — to no avail — to get in his vehicle.

When Ingorvaia approached the vehicle, she said, she heard the click of a firearm and saw a pistol in his hand. He then sped off, she said.

Infatuation is cited as the motive in slaying

San Antonio woman demands answers after sister vanished over two years ago
February 18, 2022

SBBM

A San Antonio family celebrated their loved one’s 41st birthday without her on Valentine’s Day after she disappeared over two years ago. Now they are desperate for answers. [snip] “It has just been difficult not being told anything,” Mendiola said. We are having to hire a private investigator to figure out what happened ourselves because nobody will communicate with us.” Mendiola said they filed a police report in Fort Worth and San Antonio but to this day, are still left without answers.

Valerie's family are attempting to raise money through the popular donor site. Here's a portion of the description:

SBBM
One year later, none of the agencies will return calls nor help find Valerie. Valerie's family and children deserve answers and closure. A missing persons police report has been filed with the following agencies, San Antonio, Fort Worth Police Departments and Medina County Sheriff's Office. Her case is currently open. Valerie's family has created a Facebook Page, Missing Person Valerie Ingorvaia, to spread awareness in hopes of finding her. Friends and family have conducted multiple search events and the distribution of flyers and posters. It has become clear that the services of a private investigator ("PI") are necessary. PIs are pretty costly. We are asking for help to engage a PI and search and rescue along the stretch of highway where she went missing.
