According to the sheriff's office, firefighters were called out to the 100 block of FM 2989 Saturday morning for a vehicle fire. A body was discovered inside once the fire was put out. At this point, the sheriff's office believe this to be an intentional act.

Investigators weren't able to readily identify the victim. They believe it is a White or Hispanic male, between 5'10" and 6'1" tall. Investigators also believe the victim is between 20-30 years old.

The sheriff's office is asking for help in identifying this person. If you have any information, please call Crime Stoppers at (936) 294-9494 or the Sheriff’s Office at (936) 435-2422.

The man who was found in a burning vehicle fire in late March has been identified as Juan Carlos Gomez Cedillos, according to the Walker County Sheriff's Department.

The 40-year-old victim was from Houston.

The sheriff's department says the investigation is still ongoing and could not provide further comments.

(just to add he was found end of March and article about it was posted beginning of April, hence therefore I assume April is listed in this thread title. Street location and all details of the incident are the same)
