Interesting, that despite being severely decomposed, forensics could pinpoint a range of just 3 years for the age group though...14-17 years is quite specific.

The outfit she's wearing sounds like pajamas to me but the jacket kind of throws me off.

I had the same thought. Maybe she was abducted or left her home at night not expecting to be out long since the jacket and Pjs?

Jennifer went missing in 2012. The MP was found in 2021. The news articles state authorities believe the MP had been deceased for a few months at most.

MP87598 Magali Picon-Lopez seems to have a dubious backstory. San Antonio, TX. Bridgeport, CT. Somewhere in TN maybe. DLC seems to be a guesstimate at best. Kid was shuffled around and family doesn’t know with whom (brother?) and where they last left her (Tennessee?). Missing at age 17 with a height of 4’10”-5’1” and weight 105-115 with long black hair and brown eyes.

I think the rings would probably help with some questions, mainly if they are real stones or not. I have a set of rings that look very similar to the ones found with her, the engagement and band looking ones not the hearts. My grandpa bought my set from Walmart when I was 14-ish. I saw a similar set when I went a few months ago to Walmart.

Why did it take 4 years for a 16-year-old to be entered into database? Her body was found just two months later not that far from Houston.
