Tyler County Sheriff's Office

On Friday, December 21, 2018, at approximately 6:00am, an anonymous caller told a 911 Operator that a male subject was being held against his will at a residence located in Hillister, eight miles south of Woodville.

Tyler County Deputies responded to the residence and as they approached the front door, encountered a male subject with his hands bound. Deputies located and took into custody a second male subject, Christopher Paulette, who was armed with a handgun.

Deputies secured the scene and obtained a search warrant for the residence. Deputies along with ATF Agents conducted a search of the residence and discovered a deceased female hidden in the residence. The identity of the deceased female is not being released at this time pending family notification. An autopsy will be conducted by the Southeast Texas Forensic Center in Beaumont.

Christopher Paulette, age 34 of Hillister, has been charged with Capital Murder and Felon in Possession of a Firearm.

Paulette is currently being held in the Tyler County Jail with no bond. The case remains under investigation by Tyler County Sheriff's Office Investigators, ATF, and the Texas Rangers.

I don't know what's worse -- the devil tattoo that's almost as big as his head, or the smirk he's wearing after having (allegedly) murdered a woman! Blech...

He looks quite feminine, doesn't he?

Soooo what about the guy with his hands bound?

Oh no, this looks like a nightmare! Why would anyone get their neck tattoed like that? Does he have a criminal past? That woman he killed....if those claims about molesting a child are true, well, so be it.

Soooo what about the guy with his hands bound?
I am thinking that the man with his hands bound contracted a hit for his elderly mother or wife.

Looks like he's lost a lot of weight since then. (Meds?) (Also, I just tried to click on the FB link, and it's down...)

Drugs are bad, mmmkay.

Who on earth would get a tat like that? Looks like he will fit right in with his new pals at the Jailhouse club.

Tyler County SO: Man charged with capital murder in woman's death

Woman found dead, man found bound inside home near Woodville

Victim identified in Tyler County capital murder case as 64-year-old Polk County woman

Quote from the (updated?) article (link bolded by me) posted by cybervampira:

"The victim has been identified as Susan Morris, 64, of Onalaska in Polk County, TX. Preliminary autopsy results are not available at this time according to Sheriff Bryan Weatherford. Earlier this year, Morris was arrested and accused of sexually assaulting a child. She had also faced drug charges in 2017."

I'm very curious about those charges against the victim as well as Christopher Paulette's relation to her alleged victim.

Some background on the victim:

Affidavit: Onalaska woman sexually assaulted 16-year-old boy
Susan King Morris, of Onalaska, was booked into the Polk County Jail on a second-degree felony sexual assault of a child on March 8. She has since posted a bail amount of $75,000 and has been released from the jail.

According to the probable cause affidavit East Texas News received Thursday, an Onalaska police officer took a written statement from the 16-year-old victim's mother on March 8. She told the officer that her son had been sexually assaulted about two weeks earlier.

A forensic interview was scheduled for the alleged victim at Childrenz Haven in Livingston for later that day, the affidavit stated.

During the interview, the alleged victim said that he was a home alone with Morris when she asked him he wanted to have sex, the affidavit stated. At that point, Morris allegedly began performing a sexual activity with the victim.

Thanks for that additional info, @cybervampira . I have to wonder about her mental capacity. And any drug use.
