I wonder who saw her reportedly saw her at 3:30am on Wednesday? Maybe that's what bf has said? I'm local near the Verk parents. I've heard that the mom called the bf. As my son said, "your gf no- shows for a mid-term and you don't immediately start looking for her?"

The Daily Mail finally covered ZuZu. They aren't up to date about the search of the boyfriend's apartment and repeat the same error about LE looking for the vehicles. And to top it off, they say this...

"Verk left her parents' home in Keller to go on a date to the movies back in Alpine with her on-again, off-again boyfriend on the night of October 11, Fox News reported."


Um....She was already in Alpine. Do you know how big Texas is?

I don't know if anyone mentioned this already, but I wonder if they expanded the search due to phone pings?

I see multiple paper evidence bags --at least 5 of them. The guy in black has white gloves on. The guy inside reaching out has blue gloves on. There is police tape running across the doorway.

OT: I grew up in Marfa, attended high school there married my ex-husband there. As you know, the area is so vast and remote I cannot imagine where the searches will take place. Big Bend, Ft. Davis?

My goodness, yes! I can only hope that LE knows a heck of a lot more than we do to help in the search. Assuming this is going to play out in the direction it seems to be headed, perhaps they can pin down a much smaller window of time (regarding the vehicle) and thus have a clearer radius in which to search? I wonder how much cell phone reception and GPS has improved in the last couple of years. My mom went to a retreat type thing three summers ago between Marfa and Ft. Davis...out of 8-10 family member's phones, only one worked consistently. Ideally, someone will spill it soon. My heart is breaking for Zuzu and her family.
O/T also: Astounded to find someone else with ties to Marfa!! :seeya:My great-grandmother's house is still in the family, across from the gorgeous courthouse. Hubby and I stayed for a few days after we got married.

Plus, both south Brewster county and Presidio county mentioned as part of the search border Mexico. It's a huge area.

I really hope LE is keeping a close eye on the boyfriend so he doesn't flee to Mexico. Brenda Delgado, who planned the killing of Kendra Hatcher in Dallas last year took a bus to Mexico before LE realized her role in the murder. She was finally found and has been extradited, but the death penalty is off the table because Mexico won't extradite otherwise.

OT My parents bought the old Stardust Motel in Marfa. around 1968. I have no idea how old you are but do remember Sheriff Rick Thompson?
