This article's headline painted a darker picture of CE's inconclusive polygraph. It refers to him as "not cleared." As I posted above, most inconclusive polygraphs are because of the examiner, not the examinee. I hope they will redo the polygraph.

"For roughly 4.5 hours Estrada was questioned and according to Brewster County Sheriff Ronny Dodson, the polygraph test did not clear Estrada from the investigation just yet.
Due to the nature of the investigation Dodson could not elaborate further on Estrada’s interview."

http://www.cbs7.com/content/news/Fi...ot-cleared-following-polygraph-398596141.html

Also from that link:
Estrada’s vehicle has been returned back to him.

“I have cooperated fully,” Estrada wrote on his Facebook page. “I gave them my phone, my GPS time line, and my car. I'm not hiding anything or protecting anyone. I hope they find Zuzu. I just want to get back to my boring life.”

I hope he is being honest and whatever he gave them helps find Zuzu.

I just wanted to add, as far as car movement goes, I recently learned of a new software which tracks this. It's called TLO, and basically it compiles all the photos of a car that is captured by a police car. So if any of these people even passed a cop there would be a record of it. Very neat but creepy software. My husband just got it, and I made him run a report on me, and it was insane to see how many times my car I haven't had that long, had been snapped by police cars.
It seems that's only available to licensed investigators. In any case, this means your husband should be able to run all the license plates of any of the cars related to this case and see what is compiled for each of them. That's a very interesting prospect, and useful tool. You'll quickly become the most popular girl in WS, and most emailed. LoL. Just some thoughts.... ;)

New article with differing events timeline. Don't know any history on this news source.

Right from the start this article has bad info. It says Zuzu drove 6 hours from Keller to go on date. False. She lives in Alpine.

It does seem like they may have done an interview with her parents though. A few new things:
"It's heartbreaking," the Verks said as they drove back to the Dallas area to pick up a few items from home. They plan to turn back around and return to continue searching for their daughter. "All we want is our daughter back," they said. "It's torture."
Fabian seems to be the one person whom they and law enforcement need to provide information, but they say he isn’t cooperating. Lori Verk says that Fabian and her daughter had gone to the movies together on Monday where they met with some friends. She says her daughter called her around 5 p.m. on Tuesday, but she missed her call. On Wednesday, her daughter missed her midterm and work.

BBM. I had not seen before that Zuzu tried to call her mom at 5 PM. Adding to the Timeline. Thanks.

Well it's funny bc my husband doesnt take an interest into my WS stories, but when the Ronald Shumway case unfolded, it made him realize how shady the house flipping/house rental business can be(you would be surprised, or maybe not lol, at how many people attempt to sell homes that aren't theirs). Couple that with contractors supplying false social security numbers...so he got access based on corporate risk mitigation. There are some hoops to jump through, but it was pretty easy tbh, which freaked me out. I was just more or less making the point that even if any of the possible cars being looked at were not pulled over, the automatic plate system in cop cars would have a record of them if they simply drove past. And they could also look for irregularities in location!

Skibaboo beat me to it...

The question that stands out for me is what night everyone went to the movies. This article makes it seem like it was Monday. I think the general idea is they went
on Tuesday? I may be misremembering...

Early on, I think an article somewhere mentioned that she had driven 6 hours to go on the date. I'll see if I can find it. I've asked this before also. Have LE interviewed
the friends on the date to corroborate the timeline of events? It's been reported that LE have done at least 100? interviews or taken 100 statements, something to that effect.

I like the quote in your sig, Gardner! I sent an email directly to another news source yesterday because they had completely gotten their facts wrong on this case. It looks like
they corrected the story for the most part...All it does is add to everyone's confusion. What we really are all seeking is clarity.

But I will say, that database makes me wonder how so many people turn up missing, because, big brother is indeed watching.

Yes that detail is wrong as well. Movie was Tuesday night. I don't understand why they think a student who had a midterm exam on Wed and a job in Alpine would not be living there. Unless there is info somewhere we are missing that she had just driven back from visiting her parents. Good job emailing the news to correct them. My siggy verse is to remind that secrets will not be hidden long and there is one person they cannot be hidden from. Justice will always win. I'm glad you like it as well. Gives me hope when a situation seems hopeless. :)

I'm pretty sure I read early on she had driven from her parents house to go on the date too, I had forgotten about that when all the other info started to come out, and that she lived In Alpine.

This is a terrible place to try and search for a missing person. You can drive a couple of miles from Alpine in any direction and literally be out in the middle of nowhere.

For some reason I think he may have headed east out of town on Hwy. 90 and then either continued towards Marathon or veered off on 67 and headed up into the hills. The Alpine landfill is also out that direction.
Cell phone towers are almost non-existent when heading that way, and it makes sense that his phone may have pinged on one of the very few in that area. The signal may have traveled for many many miles before it finally hit the tower though.
There are dirt roads, farm roads, and atv trails scattered everywhere along the entire stretch of highway. I would think that after the initial swell of searching yields no results, LE and volunteers will literally have to both drive and walk along the highways while looking under things and inside of things such as culverts and low lying bridges.

I think whatever happened took place at his residence, due mainly to the dog running around loose and that being the last place she was seen. The fastest way for him to hightail it out of town and get clear of the city limits would be to take the direction I mentioned. So how long would he drive ? I think he would have driven at least 5 miles outside of town, not not more than 15. At that hour of the morning there isn't a lot of traffic, but there are Texas Highway Patrol cars out as well as Sheriffs deputies. He wouldn't want to risk getting pulled over with a girl in his car that was either beaten up really bad or even worse. Every minute he was on the main road there was a chance he could be pulled over. At that hour of the morning everybody gets a once-over when passing a patrol car. He likely was in panic mode and all he wanted to do was pull off the road and get her out of his car. I think she may be closer to the city limits than people would think, but definitely not in a inhabited area.

Rf has lawyered up and refuses to participate in the searches, so to say he is acting guilty is a huge understatement. I'd love to be a fly on the wall while watching him pace the floor and peek out of the windows all day long. He's got to be living a tortured existence right now, knowing at any second a caravan of police cars could pull up out front with sirens blaring and guns drawn.

Some thoughts I have about this case. POI could be responsible, but may not have participated directly in whatever happened.
It's been two weeks and LE is still sifting through forensic evidence, whatever amount that entails. That's time to search electronics,
phone records, pings, etc. Collect tissue, prints, fluids, do luminol, etc. I'm beginning to wonder if there is any concrete evidence
that POI actually did anything. There are no witness accounts of the time frame of Tuesday/Wednesday, unless I totally missed them.
No one said they saw her get in a car, or saw her injured or in danger. Please post and correct me if I'm way off.

Many hours and resources have been spent searching for Zuzu, but so far no breaks. It feels like the POI does not
understand what it really means to be a man and stand up for his girlfriend. Just do the right thing and take responsibility.
Be the champion and help bring this girl back to her friends and family. </soapbox>

ETA: I think if she is found, it will be down in the Presidio/Redford area...somewhere along the Rio Grande. I hope
and pray she is found alive.

This is one story that mentioned her driving from Keller, posted 10/19. Still don't know if that is accurate.
If true, I would take it to mean...she took a break to go home before midterms...drove back to Alpine Monday/Tuesday
per usual, and happened to have a date also. I don't take it to mean, she was in Keller, dropped what she was doing
and traveled back so she could go on the date. I suppose it doesn't matter which. I just wish the news reports did
a better job of matching up facts. It seems the news sources are just reprinting each others' stories as "news."
In school, that would get you a failing grade...just sayin.

Snipped by me from steelman, hope this is ok! This is one reason I just can't believe her body (ugh!) was driven all the way to the border and crossed into Mexico. Granted, not familiar with that particular crossing but I am with ours here into Juarez. Cameras, agents, dogs...I think you'd have to be especially nuts to try that.
We had a case here recently with one victim and five perps. It was initially believed that the victim had been placed in trash bags and dumped in Mexico. Those trash bags were found a short time later in our NE El Paso desert, much closer to home. These were some scary *** perps with possible gang/drug connections and even they found it "easier" to dump on the US side. Just thinking out loud here, I believe Zuzu is close to home. MOO
This is the story I'm referring to in case it needs a link:

Thank you everyone for the updates! Gardener your timeline is Fabulous!

RF is definitely not in a good place. Are they still holding trash pickup? I thought delaying that was a very good move on LE's part. Clearly they have followed Christina Morris' case and have learned much in the ways to search for a missing person. I hope today is the day they are able to bring Zuzu home

Just gotta say it's so great that we have a verified local AND a SARS expert on Zuzu's thread!!!!

Good point. But just like Enrique Arocha/Christina Morris; This guy had a few days to go back to the body and remove it to somewhere else.

But I agree that she may be closer.

Thank you for the link! Those are most definitely some scary *** people!! They are truly of what nightmares are made. Sadistic evil doers! How long did they keep this poor guy in the bathtub in the apartment? How many people saw him and said nothing? ? A 3-vehicle convoy to take the body to dispose of in the desert!! I always wonder if a first time murderer uses a case they read about in the news or follow as a blueprint for murder. Scary to think about especially with dismemberment and perps thinking that is the way to get rid of evidence.
