12 Oct 2016- Residents last saw Zuzu on Harrison Street around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday morning just before she went missing (CBS7).
12 Oct 2016, morning- There was an unconfirmed sighting of Zuzu at Stripes Convenience Store with an unknown man (CBS7, Bigbendnow).
12 Oct 2016- RF was the last known person to see Zuzu (confirmed by APD to WFAA ABC News).
12 Oct 2016- ZuZu's dog was reported running around near her apartment on Wednesday with its leash on. Animal control came, found the dog and put it in her fenced yard (CBS7 video interview w/LE).
12 Oct 2016- Zuzu did not show up for a midterm exam at Sul Ross State University.
12 Oct 2016- Zuzu did not show up for work at Sul Ross Borderlands Research Institute (BRI).
12 Oct 2016- Texts and phone calls from Zuzu’s friends and family went unanswered. Someone checked her apartment but she wasn’t there (NBC News).

11 Oct 2016-The last day Zuzu showed up for classes at Sul Ross State (CBS7, Search Warrants).

11 Oct 2016- The last day Zuzu showed up for her work at Sul Ross State Gym (CBS7, Search Warrants).

11 Oct 2016, 5 PM- Zuzu tries to call her mom but her mom missed the call (Dallas Observer).

11 Oct 2016, Evening- Zuzu and her on-again off-again boyfriend (RF) went to the movies w/a group of friends at the Rangra Theater.

11 Oct 2016, 9 PM or 10 PM- RF’s downstairs neighbor JF heard Zuzu and RF arrive home and make dinner. “You could hear him moving their stuff around, playing music, and then she (Zuzu) shows up,” said JF “They make dinner like at 9 p.m. or 10 p.m., you could smell their food, and you can hear their conversation and then laugh a little bit. Then, it got quiet like after 11 p.m." (CBS7 interview).

11 Oct 2016, 11 PM- It got quiet in RF’s apartment, then JF heard “shut the F___ up!” (CBS7 Interview)

11 Oct 2016- A neighbor of RF's at his apt complex said he heard the couple arguing/fighting the night Zuzu disappeared (WFAA, Star Telegram). The neighbor who lives directly below RF’s apt (JF) heard RF pacing back and forth (WFAA).

WEDNESDAY

12 Oct 2016, time unknown- CE said he picked RF up from 509 South 16[SUP]th[/SUP] St in Alpine and took him to RF’s residence at 405 N Harrison St (CBS7, Search Warrants).

12 Oct 2016, Middle of the night/Early Morning- RF borrowed the F-150 (WFAA, Star-Telegram). RF’s BIL (JC) says that RF stopped by his house in the middle of the night. JC told authorities his wife woke him up, asking for the keys so RF could borrow the truck (CBS7, Search Warrants).

12 Oct 2016, 1:00 AM- CE went to his friend RMJ’s home (In the 1000 Block of W Ave F Alpine). RMJ reported that CE was acting “very distraught” and pacing back and forth, and “acting nervous”. When RMJ asked if CE was ok he replied “I’m fine”, “I did not do anything, if they interview me I have nothing to say.” RMJ did not know what CE was referring to. CE then contacted RF via cell phone. CE asked RMJ if RF could come over. CE told RMJ that when RF arrived he would need to speak with him in private (CBS7, Search Warrants).

12 Oct 2016, about 2:00 AM- Downstairs neighbor JF heard RF’s bed shake multiple times (CBS7, Search Warrants).

12 Oct 2016, between 2:00 and 3:00 AM- Downstairs neighbors, JF and his girlfriend, hear RF pacing: "We can hear him pacing back and forth, like all over the house,” (CBS7 interview)

12 Oct 2016, about 3:00 AM- Downstairs neighbors, JF and his girlfriend, hear RF get in the shower (CBS7 interview).

12 Oct 2016, Between 3:00 AM and 4:00 AM- Media reports originally said “residents” last saw Zuzu on Harrison Street around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday morning just before she went missing (CBS7). Zuzu’s boyfriend RF was the resident who claimed to see Zuzu at his apt on Harrison St. (CBS7, Search Warrants). RF was the last known person to see Zuzu (confirmed by APD to WFAA ABC News). RF reportedly told investigators Zuzu left his place between 3 and 4 AM but witness statements say Zuzu’s car remained at the apartment until later in the morning (KHOU).

12 Oct 2016, approximately 3:15 AM- RF made 2 cell phone calls to CE (CBS7, Search Warrants). They communicated using Snapchat around that same time (WFAA, Star-Telegram).

12 Oct 2016, Around 4 AM- RF’s downstairs neighbor JF and his girlfriend said “Going down the stairs, we heard a loud thump.” (WFAA).

12 Oct 2016, Early morning- There was an unconfirmed sighting of Zuzu at Stripes Convenience Store with an unknown man (CBS7, Bigbendnow).

12 Oct 2016, 6:30 AM- The last time Zuzu’s phone indicated service was 6:30 AM (CBS7, Search Warrants). The probable cause affidavit also reveals that a Google timeline linked to Zuzu's Android phone shows the phone was last "...in a close proximity..." to RF's apartment on N. Harrison Street near the university (KHOU).

12 Oct 2016- Texts and phone calls from Zuzu’s friends and family went unanswered. Someone checked her apartment but she wasn’t there (NBC News).

If a volunteer searcher found her remains would they be eligible to claim the reward? Maybe they hope this reward amount will inspire more people to keep searching? They have made pleas to ranchers to check their land and for hunters to keep their eyes open for anything suspicious like recently disturbed soil. I know if I lived on a ranch in that area and saw the reward that high I would immediately go out and check every inch of my property. Not that I would only do that for the reward (I would volunteer anyway if in the area) but some people have to be motivated.

Here is the previous reward poster. The language is for information leading to her whereabouts or safe return so you are correct. I was thinking about those posters that state for info leading to the arrest and conviction... we are obviously not there yet.

My random thoughts on this case so far:


I know some think, after so much time and not having found her yet, there's no way she would still be alive. But, there are countless stories of people being held captive, and presumed to be deceased when they were not. After 19 days, search warrants, impounded vehicles, interviews and on and on, there still has not been an arrest. LE would not hold off if they had the evidence to move forward.

Many theories revolve around "how it happened", and attempt to fill in the gaps with what could have happened. Were there eyewitnesses that saw ZV come to RF's house, and enter the house? Could something have happened to her earlier, before they supposedly ate dinnner at his place? Maybe there was some activity prior to their "date" at his place. Her car was at his house, and at some point it was moved back to her house. Wasn't RF the only one to see her, that we know of, during a long period on Tuesday? She was "last seen" by RF, correct?

For me, there are still too many gaps to be able to piece together what happened. Is it 100 percent confirmed that she was the person at RF's apartment when it was reported they were cooking dinner and the neighbor could smell food cooking? What if it was someone else? Where was ZV's car parked at RF's apartment? On the street, in the drive, around the corner, etc? At what time was she supposedly seen with a man on camera at Stripes? Could this person (someone other than the known POIs and suspect) be the one that took Zuzu somewhere, and some of the other events later might have been setup or staged? I know I'm reaching, but I'm just trying to come up with alternative theories as to what happened. I'm not discounting anyone's theory, but just adding my own thoughts to the discussion. Many aspects of her disappearance just feel too "neat and clean" for me. I feel like there may be other actors involved, who so far have not been identified.

To me, the warrants that were put out do provide key details, but some information is intentionally or inadvertently vague. There are good reasons for this, and all that is needed is for a judge to be able to okay the warrant.
There are too many gaps that need to be filled in, and not enough information is out yet to do that.

I hope LE are monitoring these POIs. Wish they would come forward and tell what they know about this case.

The details the couple that lived below RF have provided haven't been over the top at all, IMO. I get no sense of embellishment. I know what it's like to live with someone above me and do hear all manner of things at any given time.

It also makes it sound like Zuzu and RF lived together when we know that is not true. They moved "their" stuff around. Did RF have a roommate? I think the confusion on when Zuzu arrived could point to a 3rd person being there who arrived home with RF before Zuzu showed up. That is, IF there is confusion and it's not just poorly written--the part about "RF and Zuzu arrive home" is not a direct quote from the neighbor-it is what the reporter wrote, IIRC.

ETA: Apologies, I found the interview and the part about "Zuzu and RF arrive" is not there so that must be my shortened version that made it unclear. Makes sense to me! I wonder why RF was moving stuff around. It really bothers me that RF was able to just pick up his life like nothing happened. I know that is not the case now, but it is hard to get past he was not worried and did not sound the alarm that Zuzu was missing the next day. I wonder if he told LE they argued and he thought she was avoiding him.

Pardon my language. But her corpse location is still considered her whereabouts.

So if they don't intend to pay the full reward to someone that stumbles across her body; Then they may want to change the whereabouts part.

I wonder if he told LE they argued and he thought she was avoiding him.

Unless he was in the same class as Zuzu and worked at her job or went by her work to try to see her on Wed, I bet he will claim that he had no idea she was missing until her mother called him on Friday. I wonder how far he went in the charade--did he ask around (call a few friends) to see if Zuzu showed up for her midterm and work on Wed before telling her mom that? OR did he have that story all ready to go and act dumb, like he hadn't been concerned until her mom called? Did he send Zuzu messages on Wed and try to call her phone like nothing had happened? Or on Thursday did he message her asking why she hadn't replied to him? He will have to explain why he unfriended her on facebook and started deleting things on social media. Maybe he will confess to arguing with her that night. No matter what he says, I don't see how he comes out looking good.

I seem to be stuck on the BIL's truck right now. Maybe RF knew what kind of tools were stored in the truck, what would he need tools for, what kind of tools were in the truck? He may have needed to cut a fence or something. Were there other keys on the truck key ring, keys to what, gates possibly?

WS member Sasquatch made a video for Stephanie Warner (in my signature) in 2013 that we sent around so her case wouldn't disappear from the media. That's not happening with ZuZu, but seeing this video just might help someone come forward.

I think RF graduated several years ago. Somewhere I ran across 2012 or 2013. So he probably could claim he didn't know she was missing until her Mom called. If there are blanks in his normal contact with her it will count against him. But if he did go into charade mode like Jodi Arias it will be discovered. His goose is cooked.

Possibly. But I know for a fact that Zuzu graduated from high school in 2013, so that *could* be where that date is coming from.
