So lets think about this.

1. Chris was arrested for DWI and the day after he bailed out, he moved out of town.

2. The Sheriff says they were already preparing a warrant for Robert, when Zuzu was found.

I originally thought there was no chance Chris made a deal. I am starting to wonder now - maybe he didn't know where Zuzu was. But maybe he did know something and he told LE while he was arrested?

I don't believe in coincidences. And there seems to be quite a few of them here lately.

Agreed. I think the timing of the new search area, which led to the discovery of ZuZu's remains, is far too coincidental in relation to the timing of CE moving to AZ.

Is it possible he knew she had been killed (snapchat), but at first did not know where she was buried? Is it possible a plea deal was struck early on, one that meant CE had to get RF to confess to him where she was buried? Could that be why he was so 'outspoken'? To gain RFs trust? I guess we'll know some of that if no charges ever come up against CE.

Lori Verk is a pillar of strength! I am praying that she will get the answers that Zuzu's family deserves and I believe they will. LE never let up on finding Zuzu.

Did anyone notice the mattresses in front of the sister's home from the video in sunsetbeach's post? It's a single mattress and box springs, so maybe it is not RF's mattress. Maybe it's common for them to have a mattress in the front yard or maybe LE brought it out.

Really the sister should just shut up. The more she talks the crazier she sounds. She and her mother are going to be charged too. It's coming.

My question is if RF will now have to find a new death penalty qualified attorney? Like someone said, he is probably going to say the murder happened by Zuzu ODing or a moment of passion when she told him she was leaving Alpine and him.

Does anyone remember if where Zuzu was found was near where the truck was seen and listed on the police blotter that same early morning that Zuzu disappeared?

The fact that Robert's sister goes out of her way to say they are hurting...makes me want to punch her in the nose.

I have lost a child (from prematurity) and the pain from that is literally breathtaking. But even I cannot comprehend the horror that Lori is experiencing - but for RF family to even suggest that they are hurting? No ma'am. The only pain and hurt that matters right now is the Verks pain. And all of their pain is due to the actions of your brother and family.

I doubt CE had anything to do with finding ZuZu. There wasn't a new search area. A Border Patrol agent found bones while working in the area. Then LE spread out and searched for more evidence. AFAIK this was an accidental and lucky discovery. CE may wish now that he'd led LE to ZuZu. It might have reduced whatever his charges will be.

Of course we could suspect that the Border Patrol agent was sent to the spot based on CE's information, as people thought in the McStay case, but I doubt we'll ever know if that's the case. Personally, I doubt it but that's JMO. It could very well be.

According to Sheriff Dodson, the shallow grave was very well concealed, and they consider themselves lucky that it was found as Border Patrol agents do not normally operate in that area.
The Border Patrol trooper who found the remains was working on information relating to illegal immigrants in the area.
The area where the remains were found had been previously searched, but according to Sheriff Dodson vegetation was greener and thicker at the time.

While watching the video of the sister proclaiming her innocence, I thought that she was trying to choose her words very carefully. She took long pauses before speaking where her response should've been immediate.
To me, this indicates she is in fact a liar and also knows her words will be scrutinized so is carefully selecting them.

I was following this case from the beginning and then saw the scroll on top that her ex-BF was arrested! So glad!

The only solid evidence they may have had at the moment was something like dirt found in his car or apartment that could be evidenced as coming from the spot where she was found or a possible shoe print or tire track. Something that let them know for sure he was there when she was buried, and enough to get him arrested until they can get more on him for further charges.

The news said that they had had some activities around there with illegals. They regularly put cameras and sensors out at locations.

I'm thinking maybe they have RF on camera burying her....
