Murder probe launched after three people found dead in sleepy Brit village


murder investigation has been launched after three people were found dead in a “targeted attack” at a home in a village in Buckinghamshire.

Thames Valley Police said officers were called to reports of a disturbance at a property in Spring Gardens, Bourne End, at around 9.55pm on Tuesday and found the bodies of a man and a woman in their 60s and a man in his 50s.
The force said the three were all known to each other and evidence suggested a serious assault had occurred.

A "complex" murder investigation is under way after three bodies were found at a property in a village.

A man and a woman, in their 60s, and man, in his 50s, were found dead at an address in Spring Gardens, in Bourne End, Buckinghamshire, on Tuesday.

Thames Valley Police said officers were called to the address at about 21:55 BST following reports of a disturbance.

The force said all three were known to each other and have described the incident as a "targeted attack".

Bourne End: Three found dead in village were stabbed, say police

Three people found dead at a sheltered accommodation flat died from stab wounds, post-mortem examinations have found.

The bodies of a man and a woman in their 60s, and a man in his 50s, were discovered in Bourne End, Buckinghamshire, on Tuesday.

The pair in their 60s have been named locally as Susan and Jeffrey Farrance.

The force has appealed for anyone who heard a disturbance or saw anything suspicious in or around Orchard House or Spring Gardens between 17:00 and 22:00 on Tuesday to come forward.

Eve Speight, who lives on the second floor with her husband, a few flats down from the one where the bodies were discovered, told the BBC that her husband heard two men arguing earlier in the evening before armed police arrived and a helicopter was circling overheard.

''A friend of murdered couple Sue and Jeff Farrance has told of her “heartbreak” at their deaths.

Carole Brown, 66, was due to go on holiday to Weymouth with the couple and a group of friends next month.

She told the Mirror: “They were a lovely couple, they were our friends.

“They were kind-hearted. They will be so missed by all of us.

“I knew Sue better. I felt like I’d know her forever even though they only moved her four or five years ago.

“She would genuinely do anything for anyone, she would always help you out.

“We used to do art together. We’re totally broken by what’s happened.

“Police won’t tell us a thing. We’ve been in and out of the home and it seems there’s still lots police don’t know.”

Yesterday witnesses told how at least six armed police officers were seen running down an alleyway beside the flats and battered down a gate before smashing their way into the community building in the riverside village.''
