Strange lights were reported all around the Grand Valley Saturday night just before 7pm.

Witnesses said they could see several white lights and other objects with blue, red and green lights hovering in the sky for several hours.

At one point, it looked as if the lights were trailing something, and then combined into a strong red light.

Very static lights were also seen east of Grand Junction above the Mesa. These appearing to be more static...but green, blue and red... In a flashing pattern.

KJCT put several calls into the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) who is in charge of tracking objects in the sky.

NORAD said there were no military planes in the area at the time of the sighting.

Sally... I seen the same thing here in Ohio about 5 years ago. It lasted for about 70 mins. I know I needed someone to see it too. It was summer here and everyone at my house was sleeping so I went to get my neighbor and asked him to come out side and look up. He seen the same thing. He had his girls over for the week-end and they came out with him and saw it too. We didn't know what it was. I did go get my digital camera and couldn't get a picture of it. I still can't explain what was going on with my camera. I would take it inside and take a picture of what ever was around me and go outside to take a picture of the things in the sky and it wouldn't work. I even changed the batteries that night. It was so wired. I called the unversity the next day to tell them what I had seen and couldn't get thru on the phone it was busy the whole day and night. It jsut re-confirm to me that there where other people out there that seen the same thing we seen that night.:waitasec:
