Meanwhile the murder trial of another young person from Bristol is underway. It sounds like a similar scenario

Jillian Tolliver, 49, from Hartcliffe in Bristol, and Kristian Hooper, 46, from Weston-super-Mare, have both been charged with two counts of assisting an offender.
They were bailed and told to appear at Bristol Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
Avon and Somerset Police said a total of nine people had been charged as part of their enquiries into the boys' deaths.
Five have been remanded in custody charged with murder and four have been charged with assisting an offender.

A mother whose son died after he was stabbed has said his death "ripped our family apart".

Max Dixon, 16, died following an incident in Knowle West, Bristol, on 27 January, during which his friend Mason Rist, 15, was also killed.

His mum, Leanne Ekland, said knife crime "doesn't just destroy the person who's been killed, it destroys your family".

She added: "I want Max to be remembered for the child he was, and not the child that was killed by knife crime. I want him to be remembered as a fun-loving boy."

A 15-year-old boy has pleaded guilty to the murder of a teenager.

The boy, who cannot be named, has admitted murdering Mason Rist, 15, who died after being stabbed twice in an attack outside his home in Knowle West, Bristol, on 27 January.

Another boy, 17, has pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of Max Dixon, 16, who died after being stabbed once in the same attack.

Antony Snook, 45, Riley Tolliver, 18, and three teenagers aged 15, 16, and 17 who cannot be named - are all jointly accused of both murders, and are currently on trial at Bristol Crown Court.
The 15-year-old has pleaded not guilty to the second count of murder, and the 17-year-old has pleaded not guilty to both charges, though guilty to the reduced charge of manslaughter against Max.

The three other defendants deny all charges.

Bristol in my opinion is a strange place. I went to University there a long time ago and quickly learnt that people punch out first and ask questions later. I have been knocked out twice in my life, actually seeing stars is a thing, both times in Bristol when I was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Apart from that, really enjoyed the city, but be aware there is a violent under current.

"Mason Rist and Max Dixon

were friends from the age of five

and loved gaming on the Playstation together -

then machete gang hacked them to death in case of mistaken identity"

Yes I agree with this, I like Bristol but it's definitely a place to tread carefully in. Many unsolved murders too.
