Agnieszka Marciniaki, 32, was last seen at the hospital at around 11.30am on Saturday 30 January 2010. Agnieszka had just given birth to a baby girl and told medics that she would return to the hospital once she had had gathered some possessions. Agnieszka was described as white, with a round face and short dark hair and had a good grasp of the English language. She arrived in the UK from Poland in the last week of January and it was believed she had connections with friends in the Lakenham and Tuckswood area of Norwich. The images we released at the time have been attached.

What became of the child? Was she adopted in the UK?

She arrived to UK one week before giving birth... From article in 2012 - Agnieszka, originally from Poland, never returned and the address and telephone number she left with hospital staff turned out to be false.

Norfolk Police launch new appeal over missing mum who abandoned her baby at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital

To me it sounds like it was planned. Hopefully, she is ok and baby too.

I'm pretty certain this is her, friends on fb with East Anglia locals, perhaps moved back to Poland and then Nottingham following what happened. Face resembles an older version of the woman. Agnieszka Marciniak

Hi to all who see this. I just wanted to add to this post by informing you all that I am the child from this case. And since I've seen a couple people asking,I'm happy and healthy. I was adopted less than a year after my birth mother (Agnieszka Marciniak) left me in Norwich hospital, by my amazing parents. In my opinion,it is extremely unlikely that she will ever be found, and I do not blame her for it. She left for a reason, whatever it may be,and by leaving me in the safety of the hospital I was able to have the happy and healthy life I live today. She has never made any contact with social services or the police, and it's unlikely she ever will, although the opportunity to do so is always there.
:)
