I believe he is deeply disturbed one way or another, he has to be verging on phychopathy given what he put Alesha through. I said earlier in the thread I would like to read reports on him but now with the smiling at the family in court and his demeanour in court, I don’t want to get inside this lads head. Nothing that will ever come from him will be fact, it’s all fabricated lies made up in his head to spin a story in his favour - the poor me routine has worked for years for him, I don’t think he will change his ways and admit one ounce of guilt for his actions. I always knew from the first YouTube video I watched of him that he was a cocky little b*****d, had an answer for everything and thought he was smart. My view on all of that was confirmed when he took that stand with a ridiculous defence only a fool would believe in the end, himself. I can imagine him loving speaking to a therapist, it will all be about him after all.

You can bet your bottom dollar he’s as nice as pie to Polmonts prison officers though, all the pleasantries of the day. He’ll be leaving them saying ‘how could he have done it, he seems so polite, normal and disciplined’. They call this a charming physchopath, and I believe he has all the traits.

Alesha MacPhail's mum says she was kept in dark about gruesome details of murder

She didn't even know the full extent of what happened to her daughter until 5 mins before trial.

I think he's a psychopath, a born psychopath, however i think he was nurtured to become a rapist and a murderer.
Like Edinlass said, he's had years of the 'poor me' routine and 'it wasn't me' working for him. This gave him the confidence to think he could get away with anything. This, along with other outside influences (wish we knew what/when) turned him into a murderer and rapist.
Yes Edinlass, I'm sure his custodians are wondering how such a polite and articulate boy could have done this. It's all part of his facade which, i believe he would use in any event of a visit with Georgina.
A charming monster with a web of lies, Georgina would never be able to be sure he was telling the truth.

I’ve no wish to get into his head. His actions alone shout just what he is , a sick, twisted monster. My years following true crime has taught me that we will never know why some people are hell bent on destroying others, no expert has the answer to it. AC is mad, bad or a combination of the two, just like his many predecessors . There will be other A.C. and again the same questions will be asked. Such a tragedy we have to share this planet with such wickedness.,

I absolutely agree with your points, especially calling him a charming psychopath because I can absolutely see that as well as seeing him loving talking to a therapist, he will love the attention and it will absolutely be all about him. I really do see him as a "budding Ted Bundy". Thank the Lord he was stopped in his tracks. Had he not been caught he would have reveled over having gotten away with the crime and I believe he would have been thirsty for more. He also reminds me of Dennis Rader, BTK killer, who toyed with investigators over years until he finally did himself in. All psychopaths.

Do you think his sentencing will be open to the public? Since his anonymity is lifted now I was thinking it might be. I am considering going along but don't know if I should or not...

I think it would be open to public now his anonymity has been lifted but I do think it would be packed with journalists and other people so it might be full up, this case is as big as the bulger killers, soham murders etc so you would have to get there really early for a chance to get in i think

Yes , I’m sure it will be. I echo what another poster has said, it will be packed out. I’d go if you can.

It is open to the public, I just phoned and asked.

EDIT: I forgot to ask what time it starts at though. I'm dumb ha!

Unfortunately I believe if he agrees to speak to her he will most likely tell her that Toni handed Alesha over.He won't tell her the truth,no matter how clever he thinks the abduction was, because he is a psychopath and it will only be about enjoying Genies pain for him,and keeping that tiny seed of doubt growing now that the idea has been planted(even though we all know it's utter tosh!)

I think you’re quite right. He will enjoy listening to her plead for answers but his will be lies. He has no empathy so will not care about her feelings or loss. He’ll never admit to what he’s done , most never do .

Narcissist or Psychopath — How Can You Tell?

I've just read this article and I am finding it hard to differentiate between the two. I'm kind of on the fence in regards to his mental illness but lean more to NPD. He is a sadist which can fall into both categories. After reading this I can see why it's so difficult for psychologists to diagnose. He seems to show signs from both.

Of course we don't know his history. There are rumours some of us have read about which may or may not be true. It's quite possible he was born this way and/or mixed with a troubled childhood turned into the monster he is.

I was thinking NPD earlier as well to be honest. But I agree, I think it can hard to differentiate sometimes.

I thought the same..not a lot between the two. He’s a mixture of both . I’m struggling with the troubled childhood bit. I’ve not read anything which would suggest he had one, in fact everything points to him being a spoilt bratt, with many advantages most other kids don’t have. Imo, he was born that way and the mix of having everything he wanted gave him a sense of entitlement . His dad being away so often possibly didn’t help, his mother allowed him to get away with a lot, but thank god not this time.

Yes. It's hard to say which. I would say both to an extent. Born psychopathic narcissist who always got what he wanted and his own way who then turned into a monster.

I don't think he had a particularly horrible childhood, i think he got his own way all the time, with his dad absent while working away his mum had two kids to bring up. I'm not blaming his mum but maybe it was easier for her to let him have his own way and believe his side of the story growing up.

It depends what a troubled childhood is seen as.. I think his dad working away and his mother - who was supposed to be a heavy drinker is a bit troubled. We can only speculate if he was abused, I doubt he was. I don't think she had any control of his behaviour. The fact his 14 year old sister was allowed out as late as she was is shocking imo - this makes me think she didn't have much control. He was allowed to get away with a lot and had no repercussions which explains partly why he thought he could lie his way out of this.

I'm not blaming his parents at all. I think he would have gone on to commit a horrendous crime regardless. He was born with a lack of remorse and really thinks highly of himself. One thing with psychopaths i've noticed is their ability to adapt their mannerisms and fit seamlessly into society. Look at photos of Ted Bundy, a true psycopath. He looks like a different character in every photo. I don't really see that with AC from what i've seen. He was a known local weird kid who people thought was guilty before he was caught. He comes across as a cocky entitled little 🤬🤬🤬🤬 who thinks he is better than everybody else. I doubt there was a massive shock when he was arrested by a lot who knew him.

If some of the rumours have any substance then his parents certainly have a lot to answer for with regards to how they dealt(Or didnt) with his behaviour, obviously some of the things that have been said are complete speculation and not reported in msm so we can't discuss them but if they ever turn out to be true it is quite disturbing and not a surprise that he thought he could get away with anything.

Exactly. The behaviour escalated.
