Wish I'd not listened to that.

Her poor mum in the background screaming was just awful.

No sentence will be long enough but I'm pleased the judge has given a substantial term, I didn't expect anywhere near as long.

It's one thing reading about a case but when you actually watch something like that it really hits you. I would have been a mess if I was on that jury.

Feel sick. R.I.P Alesha.

I can’t actually believe he said he wanted to laugh during the trial, and that for a year before he had fantasies of rape and murder. What the actual F***

I feel numb honestly . 16 ??? He would have turned even worse than Brady if he hadn’t been caught.

That was such a hard watch.

Hearing that Alesha woke up and asked him who he was etc has broken my heart in two.

I doubt he will ever be released. The Judge was very clear on the chances of him being rehabilitated were remote.

Same. My heart is actually broken.

Yeah as soon as they said he had given more details of what he did to the SW l thought he probably enjoyed telling it.

So although it was opportunistic, there's no doubt if not her then someone else.

Sorry but l hope every day of his incarceration is a living hell.

To hear that poor woman wail in court broke my heart

Rob McDowall‏Verified account @robmcd85

The sentencing judge made it clear that #AaronCampbell is a very cold, calculating and dangerous predator. He made it clear that Campbell told Drs that he felt it difficult to stop himself from laughing at various points through his trial. J

Judge recognised that pannel is a child and his punishment part would have been longer if an adult, but adds that rehabilitation is a remote possibility and that he may never be released. #AleshaMacPhail

I do wonder if part of this is him lashing out. Not saying he didn't feel these things, but inflicting more pain is his way of gaining some control over the situation. Like he feels as if he has the upper hand, if that makes sense?

Pure evil

Horrific details emerged today in court about what Campbell told social workers and psychologists.

He said it “took everything to stop him laughing” during the trial.

He was “entertained” by the thought of rape and was “satisfied with murder”.

And Campbell said “all I thought about was killing her once I saw her”.

He says it was a “moment of opportunity”.

Alesha asked Campbell “where she was going” as he carried her to her death.

He told Alesha he was “her dad’s friend”.

Campbell was “mildly amused” that police had not arrested him days after the murder.

He only told the social workers so he could relive it, he is about as sick as i have read about. he is essentially bragging about it all.

Others have at least kept quite about it, or shown remorse but this guy can't help it.

There are no positives out of this. But I'm glad he was found out for the psychopath he is now, rather than when he was an adult living in a city with access to even more vulnerable people. With a bit of maturity I have no doubt he would've killed and raped scores of women and got away with some of them. I'm against the death sentence but this case really makes you think.

What an absolute monster.

That has to be one of the most difficult things I've ever sat and listened to. I burst into tears on hearing that AC had given his hoodie to poor little Alesha because she was cold and then he went on to do such absolutely horrific things to her. I just can't comprehend how a human being can lurch from one extreme to another. It simply beggars belief.
Me too.

I've not caught up with the thread yet but I've read the headlines. He's the monster we suspected and more. He will never not be a risk.

I can't imagine how Genie feels. At least now there's no need for her to see him or for the world at large to hear from him for a good long time.

I’m sat here now just really angry all the rumours everything his mother and father would have known he had serious issues . Why why was nothing done about him before .

A monster indeed. I agree with you that he would have become a serial killer/rapist as an adult if he hadn't been caught at 16. I hope he's never released.

Not having a go at them. mistakes happen but i just wish they had locked the door on that fateful night, it still might have happened but he might have tried to enter and left when it was locked.

Either way he would have raped and killed someone soon after.

Its just too horrendous to think about, i'll try my best to think about other things during the day, i'm already at my computer at work just stunned.
