Can you help us find Amanda?

Officers are appealing for information to help find Amanda Hull who has been reported missing from Droitwich.

The 42-year-old was last seen in Droitwich around 3:30pm on Tuesday (7 January).

Amanda is described as white, around 5ft 1in tall, with brown hair and blonde highlights.

She was last seen wearing a grey / white hoodie, black coat, black trousers and black knee-high boots, carrying a black Adidas backpack.

Officers are concerned for Amanda’s welfare and ask if anyone has seen her, or knows of her whereabouts, to call 01905 331030 quoting 387_i of 7 January.

It has been posted on the Amanda Hull - Missing Facebook group that "we have confirmed with police CCTV of Amanda leaving Worcester Bus station on Tuesday [07 Jan 2025] afternoon and going up the escalators into town". The police appeals have not been updated with this information yet.

Yes. I wonder where she may have gone and whether she went to meet up with someone. With adults with a learning disability/autistic adults there can be a disparity between how the individual wants to live their life and how others might want them to. However, she hasn’t been heard from since Tuesday and she doesn’t have her mobile phone so it is very concerning.

In 2021 when she went missing she ditched her rucksack so although distinctive, again she may no longer have it with her.

MMO.

No longer has the horse/s according to Facebook posts.

No one knows where she went in 2021 which makes me wonder whether she was with someone she knew.

Thanks for replying.

Worrying that it is now 4 days since Amanda was last seen, hope she is ok and is found soon.

I really hope Amanda hasn't bought the sleeping bag intending to sleep rough, the temperatures in the Midlands have been into the minus zone of a night this past week. Could she possibly be staying with someone in the Worcester area?

Ditto. If Amanda were on the streets in Worcester and not disguised, I’d have thought she would have been found by now as her disappearance is very high profile both on social media locally and posters within the city. I wonder if she’s with someone she knows and needed the sleeping bag to stay on a sofa or similar. CCTV is key I think.

IMO

I wonder if she bought the sleeping bag intending to stay in a hostel or homeless shelter?

I understand they’ve all been alerted? Even if she didn’t want to be ‘found’ I’d have thought any homeless place would have to let police know even if she didn’t want to leave? I’m not sure of the protocol.

In my opinion there may be more to this; she didn’t take her phone with her for example, which seems deliberate? Sometimes there can be tensions between adults with a learning disability and family members, especially when someone may be classed as ‘vulnerable’ yet not appear that way to the outside world.

I read through the last thread when she went missing and she had hidden her phone and other items under a hedge ,but there was no information about where she was found and whether anyone else was involved.

Exactly this. She may well have left the bag somewhere again. This lack of information about what happened last time isn’t terribly helpful - I suspect she was with people that her family weren’t aware of/didn’t like.

The social media mobilisation within the local community is immense; if Amanda is found safe and well (which I desperately hope), I think the family may come under pressure to explain what’s happened simply because so many people have helped with trying to find her.

All this is obviously just my opinion.

I have thought the same thing about her being with a friend/friends that her family do not approve /know about. Maybe she goes to activities arranged for people with disabilities and she has met someone through that.

My friends know her through groups for people with a learning disability so I suspect this may be a factor. However, they haven’t seen her recently.

Attached photo is from CCTV of Amanda in the Crowngate Centre on Tuesday 7th January.

According to FB page, Amanda doesn’t appear to know anyone in London, been coerced into anything or have arranged to meet anyone.

Update from 22:55 Saturday night:

URGENT UPDATE!!!!

We have had it confirmed just by police that she has boarded the train to Paddington at 17.26 on Tuesday 07th Jan, she brought a ticket which they’ve seen from Forgate street and are chasing footage from Great Western to see where she leaves the train.

We believe that she will have stayed until the end of the journey at Paddington. Please share this with anyone in the London area as we are now increasingly worried about the time that has gone by, how far she is from home and the lack of money.

She doesn’t know people in London, we’ve linked to people we know and possible places she may go.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE SHARE!!!! Let’s get her found asap!!!!!

Snipped by me for focus.

A further update by one of the administrators of the Amanda Hull - Missing Facebook group this morning [12 Jan 2025] confirms:

"I have seen footage with BTP that Amanda was last off the train in Paddington and seen walking to Praed Street at 20:10 on 07/01/25. ... She exited the station and didn’t go on the tube".
