Police have issued an urgent appeal to find a missing teenager from Derbyshire.

The teenager left home at 1pm and has not been seen since, police said.

A Derbyshire Police spokesman said: 'We are growing increasingly concerned for her welfare and in addition to having officers out searching for her, we are now asking for the public’s help.

'Amy was last seen wearing black leggings, a dark navy jacket, white Nike trainers, and was carrying a nude or beige over the shoulder bag.'

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Derbyshire Police on Facebook, Twitter, or by calling 101 quoting incident 595 of September 9.

The body of a missing Hayfield teenager has been found, a family member has confirmed.

Amy Hall was reported missing from her home on Swallow House Crescent, having last been seen just before 1pm on Thursday afternoon (9 September).

Members of the local community rallied round to help Derbyshire Police and Kinder Mountain Rescue Team find the 17-year-old, setting up a Facebook page, creating posters and organising searches.

Posting on Facebook on Saturday evening (11 September), Amy's mum Nicky Hall confirmed the sad news that she has passed away.

A 'DEVASTATED' grandad has paid tribute to "angel" teen Amy Hall who was found dead two days after vanishing from home.

Derbyshire Police say they believe remains discovered in the Birch Vale area near New Mills in the Peak District are those of the 17-year-old.



Her tearful grandad today described the 17-year-old as an "angel".

Stewart Turnbull told The Sun: "We are all devastated.

"She was a lovely girl. An angel."
