Andrew was stopped by the bogus officers outside his home in Glasgow’s Cardonald on February 22, 2006, about 7pm as he and his partner Beverley Sinclair walked back from the Quo Vadis bar.

He was handcuffed and driven off in a black car.

The two men said Ramsay was being taken to the city’s Stewart Street police office to be interviewed as part of a fraud inquiry.

When Beverley, 56, called the station at 11pm, officers said they had no record of his arrest.
