Ms Otto described her partner's disappearance as "a complete mystery".

She previously wrote on Facebook: "How can a man walk out of a pub and not be seen since.

"Three cars drive right past the pub in the minutes after as he walks out the door. He leaves at 19.16. The third car stops briefly, could this have been you? Do you have a dash cam you could check??"

Ms Otto said: "I've been asked if there was any indication of depression or worries or troubles but I've racked my brains; there is nothing he said to me that would make me think he was in that frame of mind."

And in a direct message to her fiance, she added: "If he is watching and you're worried and you're thinking, 'Oh I can't come home, this is too big now', honestly, you don't realise how many people want you back regardless of the situation you left in - if that is the case.

"So just come home, please just come home."

Anthony is also a semi-professional footballer for Orpington FC.

His team renewed an appeal on Boxing Day to find him on Twitter saying: "Day 6 - we will not give up. Keep sharing, keep looking and keeping hoping."

Fiancee of missing firefighter posts heartbreaking direct message to him

I just can't stop wondering why he left the pub, maybe some fresh air or a cigarette break?
I really hope there is a happy ending but a river being so close and now this pool, it's seeing very unlikely now

According to Elainera's post above he lost contact with the group at 7.30 pm....so did he went alone to the last pub...
It was a work day, not being familiar with going out in the UK...would it be busy?

7.30 is really early to be drunk

On the day of Mr Knott's disappearance Lucy had dropped him off at another pub at 12.30pm where his last words to her were "love you, bye".

Several hours later, Anthony was seen leaving The Lamb at around 7.30pm.

Mad Friday, Frantic Friday or Black Eye Friday is a nickname for the last Friday before Christmas in Great Britain.:(

PRC_113441436.jpg
It is the most popular night for office and factories Christmas parties, which consequently makes it one of the busiest nights in the year for ambulances and the police
PAY-MAD-FRIDAY-MAIN.jpg
In parts of the United Kingdom, the day has been referred to as Black Eye Friday, due to unusually high number of fights that break out in bars, pubs and clubs

It is sometimes called Builders' Friday, as it is the last day of work for many construction workers,
...it is also known as Factory Friday, as it is the last day of work for many factory workers who finish work at lunchtime and spend the rest of the day socialising in pubs.

Mad Friday, also known as Builders' Friday or Black-eyed Friday, marks the start of the festive party season as many offices close for the holidays.
The last Friday before Christmas sees hundreds of revellers enjoying a boozed up night out and indulging in the Christmas spirit.

:cool:Most places finish work at lunchtime when many people head straight off on the lash, so the early start for drinking wouldn't be unusual.

Three cars drive right past the pub in the minutes after as he walks out the door. He leaves at 19.16.

So he left the pub at 7.16 pm and used his phone last at 7.20 pm. Is it known what he used the phone for? Messaging? Calling someone? Getting an Uber? Looking at Maps?

The way it is worded it sounds like he left the pub by himself. Were his colleagues already gone on to the next pub and he meant to follow them? Or were his colleagues still inside, he simply left without telling anyone, used his phone .... and then what?

Using his phone after he left the pub makes me think he was calling or texting someone to say he's gonna come over. Or asked them to come pick him up. Pure speculation though.

I don't understand why LE is saying he hasn't left the town. How do they know that?

Link to the outdoor pool they are searching:

I just hope tomorrow brings some sort of development. Whilst I do not think there will be a positive outcome now, at least his family will know where he is. :(

I hope so too!! It must be so awful for his family and his children especially. I just hate what the outcome is looking likely to be.

this just reminds me so much of corrie mckeague case

if he had been out drinking from midday.....so almost seven hours....surely he would be knackered. maybe he went to get his head down somewhere

cant help but feel the last phonecall is key though...who to?

My first thought was maybe a taxi? But it could be anything. Where does it mention the last phonecall @Rosegold68 ?I think I might have missed that.

Has anyone else read that Anthony's phone was last used at 7.20 pm on Friday, but not switched off until 1am on Saturday?

If this is the case, I find the falling in water theory unlikely. He would have had a 6 hour window to sober up, make a call, get a taxi etc.

Perhaps he'd peeled away from the group to see someone else. Many times on nights out I've made a silent exit, knowing that if I announced to the group that I was leaving that they'd make it really difficult for me to leave.

If the 1am phone switching off is true, then I think the most likely scenario is he left the group on purpose to meet up with someone else and something may have happened there.

Could the turn off the phone be about it losing charge? How would it be shown if the phone was turned off by the user or just loosing battery?

 I find it difficult to imagine him being in the pool unnoticed since Friday night?

Teams looking for a missing firefighter are searching an outdoor swimming pool close to where he disappeared.
Anthony Knott was last seen at a pub in Lewes, East Sussex, during a work night out on Friday 20 December.

Officers from Sussex Police are working with London Fire Brigade to search open-air Pells Pool and the Pellbrook Cut waterway.

I assumed it meant his battery died?

That is my suspicion too.

I just meant that some people were saying he had switched it off which could be a possibility but I'd always thought it meant his battery dying.

I mentioned early on in the thread I think it points to his battery dying mainly because of the time between last use and switch off.

However if that means the phone was still on, could the police not ping it to a specific location?
