The man the cctv owner was asking if Anthony was the one at the rear ...the cctv has now been taken down ...imo having seen the recording it was impossible for me to tell as a member of the public...but he definitely walked with a sort of limp and the hairline, possible emblem on jacket and low neckline matched ... but with the quality could not say anything for sure ...jmo
Let's hope it's a lead for the family

Is there any way we can get all the photos in one place? Like maybe in the first post?

Mods? Some longer-term (not older!) posters?

Just saw a comment from AK's sister in law on Lewes Present fb that this is not him. The comment is under a post made by a poster with initial LB 8 hours ago. The "not him" was posted one hour ago.

Tbh tho its all quite chaotic with so many comments there. Hopefully there will be an official statement today with some clarity.

I think the one over the road looks like he’s got one of those high-neck zip-up-to-the-neck jackets on. I don’t think AK did, did he...?

Your probably right actually.

That's definitely 2 women in the footage.. I think he's asking for directions. But the 2 men seem to know the women I think.
Where is this footage please?

This photo is potentially quite chilling. The bystander on the opposite side of the road is focussed directly on the group of three. And the woman (and who, btw, walks with their arms folded?) seems to be communicating with the bystander. They are looking directly at each other.
I walk with my arms folded if I am cold. JMO x

There needs to be a wider appeal to public who aren't aware of this yet, to check dash-cam footage and CCTV.

I'm sorry to keep harping back to the Corrie case but its similar. On that night there was a running man. (And in current CCTV footage in Anthony case there is a running man who takes off his jacket). Also it was thought by Police he could not have got out of a dead end yet after a long period of time had elapsed it was considered by family and a retired detective (iirc) possible to evade CCTV as the camera's were on rotation.

Are any of the CCTV's in Lewes on rotation and are there any public manned cameras? (or just public recording ones)? Or is this all from private CCTV?

In the Corrie case it turned out others offered their private CCTV from their homes to Police but Police never got back to them so the owners assumed it wasn't necessary.

All these things are crucial now. This will help give more answers. More CCTV and Dash Cam pleas to a wider audience is required with a 'if you've offered your CCTV but not heard back, please get in touch again' type message.

Come on Anthony, where are you? Are you in another area?

It might be New Year's Eve and it might only be 6am, but our dedicated volunteers are already busy prepping themselves and their kit, ready to go again at Lewes today.

Maybe they were able to zoom in and sharpen/lighten the footage and could then see clearly that it wasn't him.

Gonna go check out the abandoned crown pub in market lane see if any of those boards have been disturbed. That's where he was last seen

there's no CCTV after that point. Wish me luck.
Can't get the image to work I'm new here. I'll report back later.

That new footage put up half an hour ago on the Lewes Present page is interesting. Hope its not taken down soon. Things that struck me: 1) How much he paces compared to his friends 2) How long his jacket was (longer than I thought). Its really clear footage. 3) How many cigarettes he smokes. 4) When he is on the phone he looks up the street as if talking to someone in that direction.

It says this footage is the Lansdown Arms. Its really clear. EDIT it has been posted below by Bit of Hope.

"Sorry, no new information but this is some clear footage of Anthony and his friends at and leaving the Lansdown arms. Hope it jogs some memories. We immediately watched on until gone midnight, but do not see him again sadly.
Our thoughts are with his family and friends. x"

Been following this case and discussion. Just wanted to add my 2 pence..
It was mentioned before that he could have left to score some drugs, I think this is very plausible. Hence the hand rubbing ( Excitement ) the timing of the data usage
( a message to say come meet to pay and collect?) and also why things seems to be a little quiet from some of the lads he was out with. I know that some people find a long day drinking tiring and some might need a ‘pick me up’ to sober up.
This is all my opinion of course. It just seems to be the only scenario that makes sense to me.
A hookup could also be possible. Some have mentioned Grindr - this is a gay hookup app? More likely tinder of Pof? That could be another reason to turn phone off.
Did his partner mention of the phone was charged before she dropped him off at 12? If it was, I can’t see the battery being drained completely by 7. I phone’s have low power mode too. I have one and use it frequently throughout the day and it doesn’t die after 7 hours, Anthony was in a bar, so I can’t see him being on his phone much?

I have to say my first thoughts went to cocaine. I know people on here are saying we shouldn't speculate but I personaly put the pieces together...the rubbing hands...the leaving and walking up and down etc. And it lead me to thinking it looks like someone scoring drugs.

I am in no way saying this in any way to put down Anthony's character...we have no idea why he left. But it does help to think of different scenarios and this one for me fit the pieces together best.

Only his family and friends would know if this is the case.

I only thought of this as someone who lives in London, it is EXTREMELY common for people to take cocaine on a night out. All types of people, working class, upper class, doesn't matter.

We are all just trying to figure out WHY he left the pub as this is probably the key. Otherwise if he left to simply go home I pretty sure he would have said goodbye to his colleagues. I know people talk about peer pressure but he is a full grown man with children at home, I'm sure he wouldn't have been too pressured to stay.

I hope he is found soon as it must be just awful for his family and friends.

This is part of a post on Lewes Present posted 1 hour ago -

Search and Rescue and the police have now called off their physical searches, however the police will be continuing their investigations. Police presence will be still seen. We too have called off any further searches for now as all areas have been covered 3 times over.

The pubs round here are full of it. Someone I know used to run a pub here and they had a massive problem with people doing coke in the toilets.
