I’m in the UK down in Dorset, and I say ‘them’ as in ‘I know them’ when it’s just one person. I think it’s common to say I know them when referring to a single person.

I think there is going to be a second person involved. They are still very much speaking about searching. They have not mentioned large gathering of vehicles or additional activity in a certain area so I can't think they have found April yet.

If it is a second person, I have a little picture in my head of them being holed up somewhere nice and warm and feeding April Cheerios for her breakfast. I can dream, can't I?
