Apart from the black garbage bag and its' contents.

I think you mean boxes :-)
Bag was dumped in river, police were searching for it.

I have not got a link but I'm fairly confident it was never reported that the contents were dumped in the river.

I have read nothing which states that the man, whoever he was, actually put the bag into the water. He might or might not have put it in the water. He might or might not be MB.

I have to say I don't remember reading the bag was seen being thrown into the river. I remember reading that the witness said they saw a man with a bag walking by the river, and vaguely have a recollection of something being said about "scrambling down the river bank" but not sure whether that was a detail that crept in later.

Here are the words I read first about it:
Two women claim they spotted a man carrying a bin bag to a river the day after April Jones was snatched.

They told police he scrambled down a bank not far from where the five-year-old vanished.

"He was coming down a shale bank with a black bag, he was next to the river.

I believe that's because it was never printed that he actually put the bag into the water. Later during the searches, the media linked the bag incident to why an area of ground/river was being extensively searched. They might be right to link it or they may have been putting 2 + 2 together and assuming or there may have been a leak from LE. It's inconclusive.

In the Tele report, the father of one of the women said they told police what they saw, they knew the man. Might or might not be MB, but whoever it was, police know.

I don't think anyone saw that, but it's an obvious inference to draw. That the police were also digging up the vegetation on the bank just shows how thorough they are being.

ETA - if indeed it was the same part of the riverbank! Well spotted, Clio.

I agree. The police will know who the man is. We don't. We are being invited to infer it by the media reports.

No, there are not plenty, if there were I woukd have found at least one, there is no witness that said a rubbish bag was dumped in the river by the man seen. or any witness that was quoted as saying it was a bin/garbage bag. You claimed it therefore its up to you to prove it.

I really would like a link to where anyone at all said it was dumped in the river.

Yes, it is certainly what I thought when I read the news article. I immediately thought the obvious next step would have been that he was going to throw the bag in. I think the argument in the recent posts on the subject was specifically whether it was ever actually stated in print that anyone saw the bag being thrown in.

Probably this is also made up by the MSM!

and this:

The search for snatched April Jones has spread to a steep hillside where a man was seen carrying a black bag after she disappeared.

A team of 12 police officers moved in at 10am to cleared shrubs and vegetation - and began the painstaking work of sifting through the loose shale underneath.

The search area - the size of a tennis court - leads down to the river where the man carrying the black bag was seen by two witnesses at 1pm on Tuesday.

Officers using longhandled shears, pick axes, spades and forks started clearing the area on Friday morning.

All the vegetation and large stones were cleared and put into a police long wheelbase Transit van parked alongside.

Police with trowels then got down on their hands and knees to sift through the shale and soil in a delicate and painstaking operation.

A woman who lives close to the scene said: "They have cleared a very specific piece of hillside - they must have a reason to comb through it like that.

"It isn't a routine search of the area like the others that have been going on.

"They've pulled up all the plants - they must be looking for something definite."

Two women witnesses told police they spotted a man carrying a black bag down to the river below the hillside.

Carwen Sheen, 36, was chatting to a friend on the opposite river bank when they saw the figure scrambling down a gulley leading to the water's edge.

She confirmed she has given information to police about what she saw and a description of the man she saw at 1pm.

The women reported what they had seen near the village of Ceinws - about five miles away from April's home in Machynlleth - to detectives looking for April.

The site is the latest scene of police searches in and around the Machynlleth area

I never said that was made up,<Mod Snip>
that doesnt prove that a) anyone said a garbage bag was seen and b) they threw it in the river as you claimed
You also claimed there were several reports of a black bin bag being thrown in the river and that I just couldnt find them via googling. <Mod Snip>

I also agree, that I didn't read anywhere that the black bag was thrown in the water.

There was a post earlier today showing the land rover and asking what we though it was on the passenger seat, I may be wrong but it looks very much like a Bergen/Rucksack rather big one could be 65 to 80 litre.

By the way, I have read every single post since the beginning of the first thread. I must admit I find it hard to believe MB is guilty. Obviously, I am sure there is much evidence that we do not know at this point, but I do think someone else is involved. JMO of course.

Everything from VF is hearsay, she was not present and neither were her own children when April disappeared. It's all third or fourth-hand and therefore not reliable.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/ukn...riend-may-hold-key-to-abductors-identity.html

The seven-year-old girl is the key witness in the hunt for the mystery man who abducted April, five, as they played together.

Police specially trained in interviewing children were trying to "delicately" coax every drop of information from the friend.

She told detectives how April climbed into the driver's side of the grey or white van before being driven away. She raised the alarm and started one of Britain's biggest child abduction searches for decades.

The little girl has given police the only description of the mystery man who snatched April off the street where she was playing at 7pm on Monday evening.

Police Supt Ian John confirmed the main witness was a seven-year-old girl.

He said: "She witnessed her walking willingly into the van on the drivers side.

"We are treating the witness with a great deal of sensitivity and specialist officers trained to deal with children are slowly and precisely interviewing the young girl."

Meanwhile police revealed that April willingly got into the van of her abductor without a "struggle" suggesting she may have known her kidnapper.

This is my opinion too

Well my hinkymeter doesn't bleep at MB, but since I have been quite wrong about people before, I am keeping an open mind.

But this witness (MH) is not VF's daughter as far as I'm aware.

For those doubting MB's guilt, I'm wondering what you base it on as we've seen nothing but still photos as far as I'm aware. Not heard him speak or seen him move, no chance to assess body language ... I really have no idea what he's like.
