OMGosh! - Can't believe I missed that the slope leading down to the river was the River Dulas North of the Dyfi - other media reports have totally led me to think it was the River Dyfi - especially since seeing the image of the man walking by the river Dyfi on sites like this:

http://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/a...-kidnapper-walking-river-bank-91466-31964407/

This is hugely significant I think. When I thought it was the Dyfi I was sceptical as it seems ridiculous that a man would be carrying, in a very visible place with people searching, a bag of 'items' to dispose of or a bag that he had just emptied the contents out of somewhere. That seemed ridiculous. THIS, however, now seems possible given the location in this link http://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/w...ck-bag-sighting-91466-31974005/#ixzz29BxClfPe

I think the LE are close to something major. jmo

This was around the time the search changed to a murder inquiry. They spent a lot of time at the cottage but the main forensics could have been found by the blood dogs around the shale here. This search was on the 5th and the murder charge was on the 6th.

FWIW, here is my take on location based on following other cases. I have never been to Wales, but my g-g-g-g-Grandfather was born there :seeya:

Alot of children are put in the trash :furious:

Jhessye Shockley, Bianca Jones etc. They are small and harder to find in the landfill/incinerator (Bianca)

Many put in water are never found - Zaylee and other children put in large fast rivers.

Caylee was found in the woods in a remote area. Jessica was found in an open space (ie. large undeveloped park)

Zarah (sp.) was put through a chipper.

A boy was found recently buried in his own backyard :what:

Another girl was found in the crawlspace in the perps basement.

Hopefully, April's remains will be found and justice will be served.

The kids (plural) suddenly weren't there. Where were they then, given that only AJ is supposed to have got into the vehicle? The fact that this witness was able to see the vehicle drive away suggests that he had a relatively unobstructed view of proceedings. So how exactly did the other children "suddenly disappear"? Did they mysteriously reappear a few minutes later with similar rapidity?

This looks to me like he wasn't really paying attention, and after seeing the kids playing and the car being parked there, the next time he looked all were gone - April and perp in the vehicle, and the 7 year old witness back home to tell.

April's parents, Paul 43, and Coral, 40, had received a glowing report about her progress at school and had given her extra time to play outside as a reward, according to sources close to the family. Child witnesses told police that she climbed willingly into the car at around 7pm on Monday.

A neighbour said he saw a car that "kept cruising up and down the road where the kids were playing" before seeing it park nearby. "The kids were still playing at that point," he told the Daily Mirror. "But suddenly they weren't there and I noticed the car drive briskly down the road towards the town centre."

I'm just thinking out loud here but a few things stand out in my mind.
I own an imported jeep as it was 10k cheaper than here in the UK.
Secondly Mb has a 2 door discovery! I have a 4 yr old who is big for his age wears 6 yr old clothes and cannot climb or hop into my jeep. He needs to be lifted and put in his car seat then strapped in. He certainly could not reach the handle to open door let himself in then close the door! Also in a 2 door u need to pull the passenger seat forward to allow people in the back. MB is a parent any adult knows u will be stopped by police if child is not in car seat and strapped securely. So why did no one see him do this? Or why would he speed briskly towards town centre when the risk of being stopped is higher?

Here in Mid Wales many areas have kerbside collection of recycling materials (they are left out on the kerb in the plastic boxes, as seen in those beer-can images at MB's house). Not all areas have started to do this. Some people prefer to take their recyclables to this place. There are 3 depots in Mid Wales. Note: Not all images in the slideshow are of the Machynlleth branch.

http://www.pottersrecycling.com/recycling-machynlleth.html

It is right next to the shed/workshop where MB's vehicle was seized!
Recycling 'skips' are at top of image - parked diagonally.

Here is an image of the repair workshop where MB's car was found (quarter way down page):

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...gers-son-joins-search-help-missing-April.html

Here is googlemaps streetview that shows proximity of the recycling depot to the repair workshop:

ETA: The Potters Recycling Depot that I use is in Newtown where you simply drive in, throw your recyclables into the relevant large skip/container, and drive off. Not sure about how the system works in Machynlleth depot.

Taking the lead from the direction given by Salem, I have an idea which we can kick around a bit.

Where would the perp, if it is indeed MB, have likely taken April?
Since that question has already been discussed and is currently still the focus of the physical search, I would like to play devil's advocate for a moment.

If we assume for a moment that MB is not in fact the person who abducted April, where should we look? How should the investigation proceed?

Other than the recent abduction attempts, allegedly of a young boy, by the man and woman, are there any other examples of this type of thing happening?
Maybe there are no examples in Wales, but what about in other parts of the U.K.?

Thank you. And for everybody - timelines and maps are valuable tools in cases like this. I know there is a media/timeline thread for this case, but I'm not sure a timeline has been done? what about maps?

I wish I knew EXACTLY where the shale bank/slope is on a map, but I'm thinking that, given the description of the removal of large stones, this place:

http://images.icnetwork.co.uk/upl/i...nes-the-search-continues-gallery-92707715.jpg

..has been cleared to become this place:

http://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/w...ck-bag-sighting-91466-31974005/#ixzz29BxClfPe

All the vegetation and large stones were cleared and put into a police long wheelbase Transit van parked alongside.

There must be a very strong reason to have removed those large stones (and some vegetation we are told). I suspect that the recent torrential rain has washed a good deal of the shale over some evidence - maybe where a scent was detected by dogs, or where some other piece of evidence was found.

http://www.dyfed-powys.police.uk/en...ue-in-and-around-machynlleth-over-the-weekend

The search continues at the same level of intensity that we have seen all last week. We have a number of areas and locations identified that require a detailed, methodical forensic search.

To give an idea of the scale of the search, the area searched last week alone would take one person 8.9years to complete on their own.

.....

Reporting in some media this morning gave the impression that the search was scaling down – this is not the case.

Because there have been cases where the police went ahead with a murder charge soley on circumstantial evidence. The assumption that they have "pretty solid evidence" might not be true at all. So there remains a niggling doubt in people's minds that it might not be him, that she might still be alive, etc. I can totally understand that.

In the US circumstantial evidence is weighted the same as physical evidence, so maybe that is one difference. But I don't believe anyone ever has ever been declared to have been murdered based only on circumstantial evidence, after only a few days.

You might be right cluciano. But we better leave that part of the discussion now, don't want this thread to be closed. I already deleted my comment. I had seen the moderator's warning too late.
