the charge of attempting to pervert the course of justice relates to concealing a body

he either didnt do it or if he did isnt telling if he thinks they have no evidence or his lawyer has told him to say nothing either way

So how can they charge him with murder?

Call me naive, but I'd like to think that if Bridger is guilty he would have the decency to tell where April is. He has several children of his own and visited them regularly, was good enough for many women to sleep with and have long relationships with. He couldn't have been all that bad, or the other women would have warned each other.

Yup, very true...and even now according to various posts on our fave social networking site, some STILL don't believe he has done anything. None of his ex's or friends have said a bad thing about him!!
I understand they have probably been warned not to speak but that doesn't usually stop some!
You would think, they'd be shouting from the roof tops! None of it makes any sense.

In many cases where theres accusation of a crime people are not charged even when the evidence is there, physical and witnesses, because this is suspected murder police do charge because of the seriousness of the offence and to protect the public, get an arrest under pressure, or simply because they have strong convictions they have the right person, rightly or wrongly, without having solid evidence but what they think is enough circumstantial and/or something physical to convince a jury and of course especially if they have no other leads
Thats how I understand it and history has borne out many cases of wrongly charged and convicted people

Well I have spoken to this issue in the past, but perhaps the idea did not gain any support because people are convinced MB is the perp.
Consider the possibility that some mistake (yes it may seem unlikely) has resulted in MB being falsely accused.
As futile as it may seem, taking the time to evaluate other lines of thinking and possible scenarios may prove to be quite productive. The other alternative is to keep chasing our tails and deeply delving into such topics as, " Correlations, interpolations, speculations, and manipulations of second and third hand juvenile witness statements" as well as "The impracticality of attempting to determine relationship variables (such as closeness or frequency of interaction)based upon the size of the community and the distribution of the people on the landscape.

I have been thinking a bit more about the map I made and I still believe I see a pattern. I am hesitant to state what that pattern seems to be, because I would expect that pattern would be recognized by more than person if it had any merit.

It is interesting, though probably only a snippet of actual abduction attempts or suspicious acts....Where did you get the info from?
I can see the 'white van' is a definite pattern but sorry I don't see much more than that which links them. Must have taken you a while-well done!!:rocker:

Yup, very true...and even now according to various posts on our fave social networking site, some STILL don't believe he has done anything. None of his ex's or friends have said a bad thing about him!!
I understand they have probably been warned not to speak but that doesn't usually stop some!

This is an excellent point, even before it went sub judice not that it would matter to many, someone who knew him would have posted something derogatory on all the fb pages or told the press

The only thing i can recall is his sisters boyfriend calling him a fantasist but that is not a crime

Murder arrest over missing woman
THE family of a missing vet have spoken of their devastation at her disappearance.
Catherine Gowing, 37, hasn’t been seen since she left work in Mold on Friday evening. A 46-year-old Gwynedd man has been arrested on suspicion of her murder.
Last night they were granted an extension of time to question him until 6am today.

Catherine, originally from Clonlee, Co Offaly in the Irish Republic, was last seen at about 7pm leaving Evans Veterinary practice in Clayton Road, Mold, where she works. Det Supt Hanson said: “We believe that after finishing work she drove home to Cae Isaf, New Brighton in her works car, a Vauxhall Corsa.”

Catherine is described as about 5ft 10ins tall and of slim, athletic build with long, curly brown hair. She speaks with an Irish accent.

NOT defending his actions (if proven) in anyway, but from all that we have heard about him he doesn't appear murderous or a Paedophile.

Having pondered on this, I think though I am glad in some respects as his Poor Children have got all this to live with.

To be honest a friend of mine was found dead, quite a few years ago....
My ex was arrested on suspicion of murder, he was never charged and there wasn't enough evidence to charge, but the DI at the time said if they could bring in a charge for Mental Cruelty, he'd be locked up for a very long time.

Some thought he was guilty, others didn't but EVERYONE wanted to know about it, it was a horrible time!

Apart from one thing, everything was circumstancial and the case and her death was left 'Open'. They review this and cases like this in the hope that a vital piece of evidence may be found.

I've gone off topic slightly but what I was wanting to get at was 'How you tell a child that their Father is a murderer, luckily I never had to do it, but believe me it caused many many sleepless nights. And even now my Kids are grown-up, I know that it would absolutely destroy them!

I agree, I was merely writing my opinion of his character as portrayed by those who know him. That's also why I said I was probably looking for the best in someone as I tend to do in everyday life!

Only one that I have seen so far has changed there friendship status and deleted him as a friend SINCE his being charged and that is VF
