Please can I just confirm, that apart from a 7 year old girl, NO ONE AT ALL actually saw April ever get into ANY car whether dark, white or with pink spots?

Confirmed. That's the only eyewitness.

Amy Fenner saying she and others had got into MBs car a couple days earlier and gone for a ride, but consensus was it was hearsay

Also note the saying she had got into the car BEFORE suggesting she DID get into MBs car that evening

ETA Sorry, realise you meant that night so correct no other witnesses, not even the elusive oap

I thought exactly the same.

So?

:D

whats his holiday and business got to do with anything relevant, not being rude, these are all interesting posts as we are info starved but.....

So he has a tattoo
The man on fb is him
He went to venice on holiday
He named a business after an italian town
He is photoed with a rifle, like thousands of others with innocent hobbies
he said on FB he keeps his ketchup in the cupboard

How does any of that relate to April Jones and what might have happened unless I missed the link or train of thought

Suppose its just sleuthing incase something turns up?

there is really no way to confirm that.

You can take what you read and infer but that is no means the inside glance into the investigation or what they have in terms of witnesses or evidence.

Depends how you read what Supt John Said

Supt John explained: “The children were playing in a small group originally, but just two of them were there when April went into the van.

You could read that to be that just MH & AJ were there and so MH is the only witness. Or you could read that as MH, ANO & AJ were there. ANO probably being ED (5). Doubt they'd put a 5 year-old on the stand though.

It's not impossible there are other witnesses and the press didn't find out.

In theory, just from Wales. I don't know which area they'll select to find jurors, but I imagine they both sides know they'll have to select outside of a certain radius of Machynlleth. I'd be surprised if they selected anyone closer than Barmouth to the NW, Bala to the NE, Aberaeron to the SW, and Llandrindod Wells to the SE. Remember that in rural Wales, the population is low and sparse, and there are even fewer jobs. There's a great deal of self-employment. It all adds up to a great number of people having to travel long distances to get to their job, or as part of their job. Thus rumours picked up in one town can spread to another.

I'm still surprised why LE hasn't contacted FB to shut down any and all pages wanting MB hung.

So is the jury selection process very different in Wales? Wouldn't they just select a number of people from the electoral roll in the vinicity of the Crown Court where the trial is to be held?

If you don't understand the relevance, or are not interested, that's fine by me. It's not a rifle.

Put it this way, the High Court Judge didn't say that the trial "be brought forward as soon as possible because many of the witnesses will be young children" if there were older or adult witnesses. If LE and CPS had any other witness to hand that they were able to dispense with the young children, they would, but it appears they haven't. So young child or children it is.

My response to you was based onyour post number 123, about MB naming his company after an italian city, nothing to do with what type of firearm it was in the picture

Yes, but remember that there's likely to be a huge catchment area. The only other Crown Courts nearby are Mold, Swansea, and Cardiff. I know people from Welshpool who have had to serve Crown Court jury duty in Mold, and that's a bit of a distance.

impossible to read one way or another, can sound right either way bit on balance sounds like two witnesses, wasnt it a five and a seven yr old originally being touted

many does not equal all. My point is that we only know what has been reported not what they actually have.

I'd like to know who else was out that night and saw the children playing. April could have got into MB's car and got out a few minutes later when the other child had gone inside. April could have knocked at someone's door on the estate and then vanished for good. The estate should be thoroughly searched by the police. Every single house.

IMO if the police had any adult witness to the abduction they would not be putting very young children on the stand.

Like I have said before, I haven't read of such young children be called as witnesses in a murder trial. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I did on the last thread. ;) It's becoming more and more common to have child witnesses testify at all sorts of court proceedings - from family law to criminal. Scientific studies also suggest school age children much less prone to suggestibility than preschoolers. HTH

(Oh! It was also estimated in the States through an extrapolation of state data that there are approximately 100k+ child witnesses annually, nationally.) CPS also has a great deal on their site about children testifying.

if there was an adult witness the description of the vehicle would never have been *small at the front big at the back*

an adults description of the vehicle is missing
