Sarah, I think they go on until about 4.30pm , which is the usual time they used to finish on a court day.
I really dont expect a verdict today, am sure they would want to discuss all the evidence, even if they are already all agreed on their decision.

Just read on Wales website that Jurors will be sent home today at 4.15pm if they have not reached a verdict by that time.

THanks Ann, just edited my post as I saw the last update.

I didnt realise Jury would be called in if there was no verdict, thought they would just go home.
But perhaps, because this is their first day, the judge wanted to remind them re not discussing the case with anyone etc....

3.18pm - Journalists gathered outside the court waiting for a verdict have flocked back into the courtroom. Around 30 reporters returned to courtroom one after it emerged a juror had rung the bell to attract the attention of the usher. It is not yet known whether the jury have decided on their verdict or whether they are simply asking a question or requesting a break.

It appears the ringing of the jury bell was a false alarm. The court usher has just confirmed jurors had requested a comfort break.

4.11pm - The court clerk has called "all relevant parties" back into courtroom one over the court's public address system. An usher has gone to fetch the jury ahead what is expected to be the end of the day's deliberations.

4.17pm - Judge Griffith-Williams has now released the jury for the day. As he did, he warned them they are "not in any circumstances to discuss the case even among yourselves". The jury will resume their deliberations at 10am tomorrow.

Are the jury going home or are they being put up in a hotel or something?

Hi Elainera, I tried to answer you earlier but kept getting thrown out !

From what I can gather, reading news feeds and Twitter, everyone seems to be saying the Jury have gone home, rather than to a hotel

its 50 50 in my mind probably guilty but maybe hung IMO

The prosecution failed IMO to prove beyond shadow of a doubt that he abducted and murdered her

The prosecution also relied heavily on the bone fragments found, the defence forensic witnesses put a doubt to that too

I tend to agree.

The only concrete evidence there is, is April's blood in his house proved beyond a doubt. Aside from the young witness - nothing else - but I also wonder why he made up such an unbelievable story and then changed it accordingly. To me nothing fits at all...
