In this case, under separate proceedings, a High Court Judge has also looked at the evidence and issued an order making Ashya a Ward of Court.
The actual facts in this case and the history of Ashya’s treatment are only known to the CPS, District Judge and the High Court, all of whom have supported the actions by Hampshire Constabulary to safeguard the wellbeing and indeed the life of Ashya King.”

No matter whose fault any of this is, it is INEXCUSABLE that this poor boy is being kept away from his loved ones while he is so sick and vulnerable. There is no reason for it at all. His parents, or at the very least, ONE OF THEM, should be allowed to stay with him in his hospital room, while things get sorted out.
From that last link above:
If there was no evidence of abuse how can this happen? They issued this based on what the hospital might think the parents would do if they were negligent. So if their taking him to spain was negligent, what are the UK courts going to do now - bring him back to the UK for him to die in a hospice without his parents, and farm all his siblings out to foster care? How is that in his best interest? It's not like they were taking him for dandelion pollen therapy or something absurd, they took him for a legitimate treatment, and made sure they had everything he needed for the journey. If Ashya is a ward of the state, does that mean that even if Spain denies extradition for the parents, he will automatically have to travel back to britain when he's well enough?
100% agree. This is insane.
Yes. They now have the power to take custody. Someone needs to step in here. The government is seriously overreaching and it;s leaving a small, sick child without his parents.
I would advise the family to issues statements in Spanish to the Spanish news, regarding what has happened as there needs to be national and international pressure here.
:drumroll:
Petition to free parents and reunite them with Ashya hits almost 75.000 signatures as I write

Fundraising for Ashya's proton beam treatment through IndieGogo and JustGiving combined nearing £ 20.000.
This, at least, is something.
