No verdict on Sarah as of yet. Does that mean the jury go back in and continue to deliberate?

I think it’s likely they’ll be instructed to return a majority at this point.

Maybe they will be sent in to consider the joint enterprise for Sarah?

  • #449
Could it be the jury are discussing each separately. They have made a decision about S cW and now will return to discuss SaW?

  • #450
Wow! Wasn’t expecting the verdicts to come separately. Is this usual when there are two defendants?

  • #451
I think the joint enterprise charge was dropped. She’s just charged with 2 counts of perverting the course of justice, already pleaded guilty to 2 counts earlier on.

I am so relieved for B and her family.

This means Berni will be able to have some type of funeral and true greif and then healing can begin.

Did someone say there was a law where he can't get out until. He reveals her location?

Majority verdict is acceptable for the remaining charges relating to SaW

Did Scott only have the two charges of perverting the course of justice? It probably makes sense because if they didn't find him guilty of murder they would have to find he didn't pcoj I suppose.

Not often, this is the second time I've seen it happen in a trial

He had 4 - which must mean they are struggling with 2 of his and the 2 that Sarah has pleaded not guilty to

I think they are returning them separately due to not reaching a unanimous verdict for Sarah.

Two counts to relation of her being dead the other two were believing she was alive

I was thinking about this last night. I think they would have to bring them in as they reached them because otherwise the judge wouldn't know which charges to direct them on returning a majority verdict for. If she didn't know where they were on the murder charge she might want them to try longer to get a unanimous decision.
