Sion's book about the murder is actually rather chilling. I wouldn't advise buying it as that will give him money but if you can find a copy somewhere it is quite telling.
Just got it yesterday from the library. Will let you know what I think and if it changes my opinion that he did it.

Well have read half and Sion's adamant that he knows who did it and it wasn't him. Haven't got there yet but assume he means the plain-clothes "cop" with the invisibility cloak that he saw that no-one else did! What's troubling me and have seen posts here and elsewhere mention this, is the timing. How could he possibly clean up and change his clothes in such a short time without the girls seeing something? The killer must have been covered in blood. Didn't the pathologist or police say that? Am sure have read it somewhere. Was a very narrow time window.

For a guy who had just been appointed a head-teacher Jenkins doesn't strike me as the brightest button in the box either. Why invent a sighting of a plain-clothes cop? No-one else saw him. There were cops guarding the back and front entrances. Did he just beam himself in like in Star Trek? How did he get in or out? A detective would need to show ID. They don't let just anyone wander round a murder house. Jenkins said he was very kind, tried to console him and said "she's going to be okay"

Didn't he fake his CV and teaching qualifications?

Yes. He said on his CV for Deputy Head that he'd attended Gordonstoun, got loads of A levels all Grade A, went to Kent Uni. He did go to teacher teaching college and qualified as a PE teacher but lied about all the rest. He was apparently a very good DH and had just been appointed Head shortly before the murder happened. He was big in the local Tory party too and met John Major when he visited whilst he was PM. Lois didn't like him being in politics and said if he stood for office she wouldn't back him.

I recognise this character in someone I know and I don't like or trust this person at all - even though they try desperately to be seen as trustworthy, they are far from that. Edited to add: Just My Opinion

I know someone who worked alongside him at WP. They were fooled by him.

Let's be honest, Sion Jenkins got away with murder.

Why didn't they look in to his claimed qualifications more? A few phone calls. The cops did when he was arrested and opened up a whole hornet's nest. They were shocked.

So, have finished his book and he reckons the invisible man was the killer. Hid behind lounge door until Sion was alone then spoke to him then slipped out. "When will I come face to face with him again?" Never, Sion, cos he doesn't exist. Sion saw no blood on him but says he must have taken off his jacket to kill her and put it back on again, hiding the blood.

A very good question.

Fooled by him in what way? HIs character? They covered something up? They lead them to believe something? Or...?

Assume they mean his qualifications and that he was a good family man then he murdered his foster daughter.

Well he served 6 years but it wasn't long enough by any means. He says he can't go back to Hastings now as heads turn. Even though he's older he's still recognised. Has a degree in Criminology but can't get a job as no-one will employ him.

He wants to just spend days walking round to see if he can see the invisible cop again. ..😆

They believed he was qualified for the role he’d applied for. He wasn’t.
