This matter is before Brighton Mags tomorrow, sad that the only way to prosecute in law is to call the slayings criminal damage to property, hoping that the magistrates decline jurisdiction, if they are able, I’ll check for an update after Court tomorrow...

Ok, based on a quick look at the value of the “property” damaged, looks like it can be committed to the Crown Court at Lewes, Hove or Brighton for trial and / or sentence.

Ok, as promised, update following hearing this morning, article in local press as follows....

Man accused of killing and injuring cats appears in court

As I had hoped, the “criminal damage” amounts to around £32,000 and therefore, as an either way offence, the Magistrates have refused jurisdiction and sent it up to the Crown Court for a pre lim or PCMH on February 20th, it will be heard at Lewes Crown Court or one of the overflow courts at Hove or Brighton. Horrid little man, sort of bloke that tortures defenceless animals and then turns into a psycho stalker or serial killer. Karma is a b###h, he’ll get his come uppance in time.
