Gloucestershire Police are keen to trace the whereabouts of a missing Cinderford man.

Christopher Adcock has been reported missing from the town, and police say they are concerned for his welfare as Mr Adcock has Alzheimer's and they believe he is lost.

Gloucestershire Police are keen to know of his whereabouts and to receive reassurance that he is safe and well.

Anyone who may have seen Mr Adcock is asked to call 999 quoting incident reference 486 of August 4.

Police are appealing for information to help locate missing Christopher Adcock from the Forest of Dean.

The 66-year-old has been reported missing from Cinderford and officers are concerned for his welfare due to his Alzheimer’s.

Christopher was last seen at 11am yesterday when he left his property on Hanover Court and it is believed that he has become lost.

He contacted a friend at around 8pm to say that he was lost and at the bottom of a hill but was unable to say where he was.

He is described as being 5ft 10ins tall, of a slim build and has grey hair on the top which is darker on the sides.

When last seen he was wearing a navy blue Adidas waterproof.

There is a chance that Christopher may have been attempting to travel to Ross-on-Wye or Hereford.

A missing man with Alzheimer's thought to be in Herefordshire has been found after a police search.

Police were today appealing for information to help locate missing Christopher Adcock.

The 66-year-old was reported missing from Cinderford and officers are concerned for his welfare due to his Alzheimer's.

Police said there was a chance that Christopher may have been attempting to travel to Ross-on-Wye or Hereford.

Officers confirmed this afternoon that he had been found in Kington and is being cared for at the local police station.
