Concerns raised after 'well-known character' from Church Stretton goes missing

Concerns have been raised after a "well-known character" went missing from Church Stretton.

Christopher Jiggins has been missing since 7pm on Sunday, October 29.

The 56-year-old was last seen wearing camouflage clothing, shorts and boots. He is a well-built white male, bald and has a distinctive moustache.

An appeal for sightings of Christopher (who seems to be known exclusively as "Jiggs" or "Jiggsy") has also been launched by West Mercia Police. He very often wears a black knitted commando hat and a hessian poncho. He is probably known, at least by sight, by many people in a place as small as Church Stretton.

West Mercia Police have released a CCTV image of the last sighting of Christopher ‘Jiggsy’ Jiggins who has been missing for nine days. The image was captured near the Family Shopper on Sandford Avenue in Church Stretton shortly before 7.55am on Monday 30 October.

Jiggsy, 56, has been missing from Church Stretton in Shropshire since 7pm on Sunday 29 October. He’s described as white, well-built, bald and with a distinctive moustache. He was last seen wearing camouflage clothing, shorts and boots and is known for wearing a hessian cape.

Police believe he may be living off-grid.
