If this is true, then the contents of the bin could well have been heavier than if it was just paper and card.

It can't have been "household" rubbish though, because it was a commercial bin, so although this may be seen as nitpicking, accuracy is important.

There was a news site that had what Nicola said about it being pure luck, and then the police statement that while it had been released back that they had told the owners they still might want to search it in future. I think they also said no more waste had been put on top but if it had been, then they could easily move it if they did decide to search?

It seems a lot of the time that Nicola says one thing and the police say that's not entirely the case. I think they could be doing more to communicate these things to her. I also think that at times her stress has led her to not quite hear exactly what they mean when they do talk to her, which is human nature in a stressful situation.

Why do you say it's strange, I think it's admirable that N is trying to raise funds for SULSAR and even thinking about it at this time.

No idea who Ollie is though
is it realy the right time to be arranging concerts when c has not yet been found yet, plenty of time for all that later, IMO

I prefer LE link that says they secured the site early on in the investigation. Two facts but I choose to believe SP. Whether it was secured because of rotation is not luck but planning IMO. Also, N admits she 'thinks' it was full but doesn't know why.

Excuse me for 'butting in' but you are correct Shires. I rarely contribute here but occasionally read.

Previous release | 6 March 2017

The area of the landfill site where waste collected from Bury St Edmunds that morning was deposited has not had further items put onto it since police alerted the site, early in the investigation, to the possibility that this may need to be searched.

I totally agree Scorpio, especially if her son's body is about to be found. Perhaps she is having to keep her mind occupied ATM which is understandable but I would have thought privacy would be more important now. IMO.

I'm not sure, who can say what's the "right time" in a one off situation, if N is coping by doing practical things to help those who've helped her then I'd say good for her

I'm beginning to see what's been going on here and also why Martin has said some of things he has recently.

There is a lot of backtracking going on now IMO. Will they be willing to state who told them all these things that are now wrong....? And who now is telling them the corrected information?

Example: Have SP ever stated what type of waste was collected?

ETA: Remove quoted post just in case.

I don't know how to delete the comment. I am sorry if I have done something wrong!
Mods will likely take care of it you'll pick it up don't worry.

Lost is probably the most apt way of putting it. Not sure how much I can say within the rules but let's just say that a lot of the information on the Find Corrie site we have discussed the last 20 threads is now seemingly redundant.

Smoke and mirrors but to what purpose IDK. JMO.

Dear GT, can you clarify any of this for us at all?

Is this anything to do with the digger 'breakdown' ? Or has the LF search recommenced?

It does seem that we are gravely handicapped by only being allowed to refer to one of the family sites, while the up-to-date information is now appearing on the other. I can't see the harm in allowing us to quote statements made by principal family members? The irony is that once the Sun or the Mirror get hold of it, it will suddenly be OK to post it!

I understand that things change over time as more information comes to light but still not sure what you're implying.

I'm not good with working that kind of stuff out so will wait until it's clarified with links

ITA - in other cases I've followed it's been fine to link to family facebook posts. I don't know why it's different this time, GT, while you are clarifying for Shiresleuth would you mind refreshing my memory on why direct posts from C's parents aren't allowed.

It just makes me think it is done like that on purpose. Let MSM publish it so they are the ones who get sued if it is wrong. The family website is still open for public viewing so has to be as factual as possible when updates are placed on there. It can still be wrong if it is in MSM LE or family website of course but WS can't get sued just for posting a link. (I don't think). The bin man identity was a perfect example. IMO of course.

it seemed apparent last night that something had been said, done or changed. I'm as lost as the next person but if I've got this right the whole thing is wrong (puzzled look)
