So has the digger really broken down or do we have a possible break through?

Sorry for not replying....I think it best to wait for clarification from GT as to what can/cannot be said.

I think the digger really is broken, I may be completely wrong but I don't think there would be any need to lie about it. We haven't been getting daily updates so it's not as if they feel they have to keep the information flowing

I don't think the digger is a big deal. If the problem occurred on Friday and they aren't working over the weekends, I would guess there wasn't much interruption.

Why do you say it's strange, I think it's admirable that N is trying to raise funds for SULSAR and even thinking about it at this time.

Classic displacement activity. Creating something positive to do to avoid dwelling on the bad stuff. It's like people with terminal illnesses running marathons for charity, or doing other things to raise money.

I'm inclined to agree with those who think it's a bit early to be talking about something like this. It may be a distraction for N, but it's also a distraction for everybody else, and that's not necessarily a good thing.

I have I deleted my post now. However i do have a screen shot of NM's comment which I am happy to show the moderators.

is it realy the right time to be arranging concerts when c has not yet been found yet, plenty of time for all that later, IMO
I wonder about this also.. It doesn't seem right to announce this while the landfill search is ongoing.

The mods know that the FB posts are there, we're just not allowed to post or refer to them. See above I have asked for clarification as this isn't always the case

I hope it's just because the tone is lost intranslation but to me it reads as if you are being critical of displacement activity.

I have no clue what I would do in such a situation but as no one can help with the LF search I don't think planning a concert is distracting anyone from anything is it? What else has N got to do other than as she says, wait for her phone to ring

I think it is Cambridge News that is reporting plans for a summer "Corrie's" concert.

I wasn't being critical at all, just making a dispassionate observation.

When I said "it's also a distraction for everybody else, and that's not necessarily a good thing" I was referring to the general public. Corrie has still not yet been found, there is no guarantee he will be found at the landfill site, and there are still unanswered questions. So in this case I don't think it's the right time to publicise a concert, although there's no reason why she shouldn't start planning it.

No, that will be one of the regular concerts organised by the Forestry Commission.
Not much point speculating who "Ollie" is, it will just be somebody they know.

Ollie Platt Events maybe? Event organiser (including music festivals) in Suffolk. Just a guess!

I read the comments at the bottom of the Cambridge News article, oofff pretty negative: http://www.cambridge-news.co.uk/news/local-news/missing-corrie-mckeague-mum-planning-12768515
In fairness, I feel Nicola is a 'doer' and she wants to be occupied and wants to help Sulsar, whilst waiting for possibly dreadful news, the worst news anyone could ever receive. I only say 'possibly' because I don't know what to make of this case anymore; what you think is fact gets changed...
My heart hopes he is AWOL (still - maybe I'm an eejit!), but my head, going by what we're told officially, says he's dead and if that's the case I don't blame his family one bit for getting info wrong sometimes, falling out in public etc, they're just desperate people and who knows how anyone would react in such an awful situation.

the whole thing just dose not sit right with me, is their not more inportent things to be doing like working with sp like Martin is to try and get some real facts, I'm sorry but organising a concert would be the last thing on my mind , as I said very strange thing to be doing, time and place for everything ,

IMO a concert would be something to do after he is found, not before.
