Maybe but I ain't convinced. Just the fact the targeted part cell search areas total c10,000 tonnes when the whole facility is said to only accept 96,000 tonnes a year doesn't square for me.

As for the three men in a group and knife 'find' it is pretty tenuous is it not?

This is the problem with SP being so cagey and seemingly being secretive. It leads to more conspiracy and speculation.........which I'm sure they could do without but is inevitable when such a path is taken.
Well it was the police saying it. Re the landfill, I'm not surprised about the tonnage. Also they use the cells in rotation so cell 22 Had probably been finished with or they just moved on to to another cell when asked by police to seal that one. 10000 tons would be 5 or 6 weeks worth therefore so that sounds about right for SP putting a hold on it. (Don't know when exactly they did that ) They started talking in about January IIRC about a LF search.

Thanks for that link you posted, interesting. Don't remember hearing of this before.

Not a first hand sighting though, seems hearsay from a taxi driver?

If this Adam gave the police the taxi's reg. surely the police would have spoken directly to the taxi driver?

All rather strange, I would like to know how many other sightings were reported as C must have been quite distinctive in the clothes he was wearing and how easily are such reports dismissed in favour of other lines of enquiry?

Not sure about this. Seems to be a company owner that saw a person in white and pink being picked up by taxi near fiveways roundabout at around the right time frame (04:00-05:00?). Not sure what would prompt him to go to the effort of not only remembering this but taking the reg of the taxi unless I've missed something? He was in the same area and time and there are garages and other 24 hour establishments at the roundabout so not sure what is so suspicious here!

The Police saying the knife and three men stuff?

Here is one article talking about (and dismissing) it: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4277584/Bin-firm-worker-arrested-Corrie-McKeague-case.html

He also shared a police statement concerning a knife which was found near where Mr McKeague went missing, but which is not thought to be linked to the disappearance.

Mr McKeague quoted the police as saying: 'Police are in possession of this knife after the person it was handed to was spoken to and brought it to the police station.

'The area where the knife was found was searched during the initial stages of the inquiry and no knife was located at that time, it cannot be said when this knife was left in the area or by whom and there is no link between this and Corrie at this time.'

Can anyone advise if the two separate possible sightings by Roy Hawes and Adam Billiald have been definitively ruled out. According to Adam Billiald's twitter post - he supplied car reg details but no one got back to him.

Roy Hawes sighting: "Suffolk Police have been backed up by Corrie’s dad Martin McKeague who says it and other claimed sightings were investigated early in the search for the missing RAF Regiment airman....Suffolk Police said today that they had located Mr Hawes report, which was not made until November. A spokeswoman said: “No description of the person could be given, and it was said to have been around 4am but the caller could not be specific about the day. The time given was prior to Corrie’s phone leaving Bury St Edmunds and there was nothing to link this to Corrie."

Let's hope it gets followed up now. That looks pretty genuine and could cofirm the lorry driver's story. TY for posting that.

ive just spent 30 minutes looking at him. Genuine guy , owns a Natural Sponge Company, not that that makes him genuine. Also reading his Twitter.

Yes I read back some too. If I was him and I still had the reg number I would call it in again and keep following it up - especially now there is a 100k reward. He was dropped off at Barton mills roundabout he says, but no info where from.

I thought that checking with the local taxi firms was one of the first things LE did? So if this is about a taxi picking up someone in pink shirt and light jeans, I'm confused why that didn't come out at the time.

Has the family ever discussed knowing what plans C had for that weekend? I remember them talking about the following weekend when D was planning to come up and visit but surely they discussed what C was going to do for that weekend didn't they?

I don't know about the weekend he went missing but the following weekend he was planning a visit home? I read somewhere he was also going to visit his grandparents at Halloween.

I don't believe it. The only evidence is the weight and we know Biffa are not too good on accurately recording it. The doubt about the phone actually pinging from inside the back of the lorry has also convinced me he wasn't in it plus the fact absolutely no forensic evidence was found in the truck. I think he ( or his phone) travelled in another vehicle entirely. :cow:

Police and family have also said they're satisfied he's not in landfill.

Just to clarify, are they satisfied he is not in the entire landfill or just the area searched? The police and family were so confident he would be found there.

If I'm reading Adam Billiald's twitter posts correctly, this is a taxi.
When in the taxi in October, the driver told Adam he picked up someone of Corrie's description. Thinking this might be significant and that the driver hadn't phoned the police already, Adam passed this information on to Crimestoppers.
Perhaps the information was looked into at the time and was found not to be relevant but Adam did not hear anything further.
I'm only flagging this up as I wasn't sure if the possible sighting by Roy Hawes had been ruled out and wondered if this was a credible lead. I'm afraid I have nothing else to add.

Prob not connected but we can live in hope:

A US Air Force base in Britain was put in lockdown today after a car allegedly tried to force its way onto the site. Police rushed to RAF Mildenhall in Suffolk to respond to the 'significant security alert' and one person was arrested. A defence source said a car tried to force its way in. Residents reported hearing gunshots, and Suffolk Police tweeted at about 2.30pm: 'Police are responding to reports of a significant incident at RAF Mildenhall.

Without clarification I do question the BBM, seems an odd statement considering Corrie is missing with no evidence of what happened to him that night/morning.

Could it be possible that the bin lorry weight of 100 kg was the total weight after all collections that night? All the confusion and later amendments regarding the bin lorry weight do make me question the complete accuracy of the final information given.
Hope this doesn't come across as critical, but just querying everything after all that has occurred.

Apparently the Mildenhall incident today not terrorist related. Be interesting to know who the man is and why he did it.

I read it here too: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-42401585 and what interested me was the mention of someone being convicted in May 2016 for using his job as a delivery driver to get info on the place. It got me thinking is it possible that there may have been a retaliatory incident regarding C?

Just read the reward has now doubled to 100,000

Corrie was based at Honington not Mildenhall so after more than a year what could be the connnection ??

As soon as I saw this story on the news, I knew it would get linked to C purely because it happened at Mildenhall :gaah:

^^ Exactly. A retaliatory attack would be getting some mates together and giving someone you think is responsible a kicking when you see them on a night out. Anyone who goes up against a military base like this guy did clearly has big issues, though his actions will seem logical to him.

I think it's strange these apparent sightings were not followed up just because of the phone timings. Corrie may have left the HS almost immediately without his phone. If he got a lift straightaway or a taxi then he could have got to BM earlier.
