A man from Wirral has gone missing after turning his phone off at a railway station yesterday morning.
David Pegg was last seen at Leasowe railway station when he was dropped off by a taxi on his way to sorting out his own settle car.
The family said they are concerned for David's wellbeing.
The 30-year-old, who is normally "always contactable", was said to be on his way to sorting out a new settle car but never showed.
"I'm not too sure what went on so he was looking for a new settle car and insurance. He was allegedly sorting that out during the week and then yesterday morning he went out about 8am to sort his car out.
He was last active on his phone at around 8am on Friday, with no one hearing from him since.
David's dad, Robert Pegg, told the ECHO : "He's a taxi driver and the car that he had through one of the settle companies had to be sorted out with the insurance company.
"I phoned him about 9.10am and it was off. I spoke to a taxi driver who dropped him off by Leasowe train station and that's the last time anybody has seen him.
"He didn't turn up at the settle company to get the car, he didn't go back to the insurance place in Hoylake that they use, they were expecting him but he didn't turn up there either.
"I just don't know what's gone on or what's happened but I think he may have got a WhatsApp message because the last time his WhatsApp was registered was at 8.25am on Friday morning and then his phone went off. I don't know what's occurred.
"The taxi driver who dropped him off said he seemed fine and he was telling him that he was going to sort a new settle car out but he's just never arrived anywhere, and like I say, his phone has been off since then as well."
