We are very concerned for an elderly man who is missing from his home in Eyam.

David Reamey, who is 81, was last seen at home in Main Road at around 6pm on Thursday 5 May. On Saturday 7 May a family member spoke to him, and he mentioned going for a walk in the Grindleford area.

David has not been seen or heard from since.

He is described as white, 5ft 9ins tall and of slim build. He has brown eyes and grey hair and wears glasses.

Police searching for a man from Eyam have released a new picture of the 81-year-old.​

David Reamey was last seen at home on Main Road at around 6pm on Thursday May 5. On Saturday May 7 a family member spoke to him, and he mentioned going for a walk in the Grindleford area.

David has not been seen or heard from since.

Bus company Hulleys of Baslow said David was a regular passenger. Posting on Twitter they said: “He’s a very active 80 year old man, 5 ft 10, slim, wears glasses & usually carries a rucksack. He would most likely have been on the 257 but if anyone has seen him, please contact Derbyshire Police.”

David last spoke to his family on Saturday 7 May when he mentioned going for a walk in the Grindleford area, but he hasn’t been in touch since.

Officers have found a body believed to be that of missing man David Reaney.

The discovery was made in the Calver area of north Derbyshire yesterday morning (14 May), his family are aware and our thoughts are with them at this time. A file is being prepared for the coroner.
