We are concerned for missing Deborah George, who was last seen in the Seaford area at about 9pm on Thursday (6 April).

The 46-year-old is slim with shoulder length brown hair which she was wearing up. She was last seen wearing a woolly hat with beige colours, a brown jacket and had headphones with her.

Deborah has links to the Seaford and Lewes areas.

If you see Deborah, please call 999 and quote serial 1632 of 06/04.

We are continuing to search for missing Deborah George from Seaford.

Deborah, 46, was last seen around 9pm on Thursday (6 April) and concern is growing for her welfare.

It’s thought she may have gone camping and officers are asking anyone who sees a lone woman camping in the area to get in touch so enquiries can be carried out.

Officers are also asking members of the public to check any CCTV, doorbell or dash cam footage for sightings of Deborah, particularly from the areas of The Crouch in Seaford, south towards the Esplanade and towards Seaford Head.

Deborah is slim, with shoulder-length brown hair which she was wearing up. She was last seen wearing a woolly hat with beige colours, a brown jacket and had headphones with her.

She is known to have links to Lewes as well as Seaford.

If you have any information which may help, please call 101 quoting serial 1632 of 06/04. If you see Deborah, please call 999 immediately.

It doesn't make sense to me that she just went off camping. One reason I can't mention as it isn't in mainstream media and I had my previous comment removed. The second reason is that there is currently horrible weather in the Seaford area with wind of up to 54 mph and pouring rain. Not exactly great camping weather. I would be worried about her being out in this anyway.

I am praying this is not Debbie. Very sad whoever it is.

Eastbourne: Police working to identify body of woman

Enquiries are still ongoing to identify the body of a woman after she was found near a cliff.

So there has been no further news on Debbie. I hope this means that the body found in Eastbourne was not her. However, the complete silence and lack of news is not good either. I can only begin to imagine how her family are feeling.

Debbie's apeal has been removed from the Missing People website. Until something formal is published I can't post what has happened here but from what I have heard it is not good news I am afraid. :(
