They had set off together to the party with masks and knives clearly intending to kill or cause someone serious harm once they got there.

“Their actions were witnessed by partygoers who knew and recognised them, and by neighbours who saw the attack unfold on their doorsteps; and their evidence was supported by taxi dashcam footage, CCTV and forensics, as well as admissions by some of the defendants themselves.”

The two youth defendants admitted their involvement to one of their girlfriends immediately after the attack.

The 17-year-old also bragged to friends about what the gang had done and boasted about the stabbings in a rap which was later recovered from the phone of one of his friends.

Clayton Barker wrote about the events on the night of the attack in a diary which was seized on his arrest.




Five young men found guilty of double murder in Milton Keynes
 
Anonymity removed for the 2 youths and:
  • Clayton Barker, 20, was sentenced to a minimum term of 28 years
  • Charlie Chandler, 23, was sentenced to a minimum term of 27 years
  • Earl Bevans, 23, was sentenced to a minimum term of 27 years
  • Jamie Chandler, 17, was sentenced to a minimum term of 22 years
  • Ben Potter, 17, was sentenced to a minimum term of 22 years
