GUILTY UK - Dr. Saman Mir Sacharvi, 49, & Vian Mangrio, 14, found dead, Reedley, 1 Oct 2020 *ARREST*

Burnley murders:@LancsPolice have been given an extra 36 hours to question a 51 yr old man arrested in connection with the murder and rape of Dr Saman Mir Sacharvi and her 14 yr old daughter Vian Mangrio.

Police given more time to question man held on suspicion of murder, rape and arson
Police dropped the rape charges. Why ?
I'd like to know if police are still looking for any other perpetrators. To have originally arrested two men on suspicion of the same offences could indicate they have evidence that two men were involved.
police should look for further perpetrators, because single person can’t do this alone.

Everyone can this crime be done alone? ?

what was the purpose of 51 years old to do this act. There must be some purpose of someone behind this act.

DETECTIVES investigating the murders of a mother and daughter at their home in Reedley have today (Friday, February 12th) charged a woman.

Rabia Shabaz, 44, of Ribble Avenue, Burnley, was originally arrested in October last year and following consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service has now been charged with Committing an act/series of acts with Intent to Pervert the Course of Justice.

She is due to appear before Blackburn Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 4th March 2021

Last October Shabaz Khan, 51, of Ribble Avenue, Burnley, was charged with two offences of murder and a further offence of arson being reckless as to whether life is endangered.

The bodies of Dr Saman Mir Sacharvi, 49, and her 14-year-old daughter, Vian Mangrio, were sadly found at an address on Colne Road, Reedley, on October 1 after officers were called at around 8.45am to a report of concern for safety. There was also evidence of smoke and fire damage inside the address.

A Home Office post-mortem investigation has since revealed Dr Sacharvi died as a result of pressure to the neck and that she had also suffered an assault.

At this stage no cause of death has been established for Miss Mangrio, though we can confirm she was found badly burnt inside the address.

Anyone have any idea what the motive could be for killing this poor mother and daughter?

Early reports said suspicion of rape although this hasn't been charged. I wonder if the daughter disturbed the killer and was killed because she was a witness.

So right what could be the motive. May be it’s an accidental deaths.

Witness of rape? Where is the husband of a lady.

Evil acts committed by an evil man assisted by his evil wife. This is my opinion and I think the courts will find the same.

I’m not sure I am understanding—you mean, the mother, Dr. S., was killed to cover up the fact that the accused man had sexually assaulted her? If that is what you meant, then it would make sense that the young woman might’ve seen something and unfortunately was killed to remove a witness.

I also thought you might’ve meant that Dr. S, or Dr. S’s husband, had been accused of sexual assault and the murder of Dr. S. And her daughter was done for revenge. I can’t put my finger on why this is, but I just have a feeling that perhaps this horrible crime was done to send a message to Dr. S.’s husband/the young girl’s father—from remarks he made shortly after the crime was discovered, he seemed quite devastated to have lost his wife and child in such a terrible and tragic way. The SA component of the crime being committed against Dr. S. in particular seems to point in this direction, IMO (and I do not mean this statement of my opinion to convey any suspicion of Dr. S.’s husband at all—just that the double murder could have been committed to send him a message (about what, I don’t know!).

MOO and my conjecture only!

Cannot possible .females can’t assist such acts. Females can’t be that cruel, or if she did it what was the motive. revenge? lust?

All I meant was the daughter might have disturbed the man killing her mother and so the daughter was killed too.

I'm not sure if either of the deaths were sexually motivated, because at first the arrests were on suspicion of rape but that seems to have been dropped from the charge.

how can they charged to wife , the man has not proven guilty as yet,
this charge means she misleading police , but man is in still under investigation.

Can anybody explain this?

He has been charged with the murders. They can have evidence that his wife lied to police (for example) without him being found guilty first.

My point was How can they judge she is lying or misleading when the investigations are in process of 51 years man.. I think it’s a pressure tactics.

She might have told them her husband was at home when they know he wasn't. Or they might have found text messages setting up an alibi for him. Or she might have helped him destroy evidence, or bought something for him to set the house on fire.

As I said it has progressed beyond an investigation, he has been charged.

They could bound her to give them a true info or fully corporate with them.but had not charged her.
Still this incident motive uncleared. And seems a assumption theory.

And charged mean he is suspect, and investigations are still on & the crime still not proven.

Intending to pervert the course of justice in a murder investigation is a serious offence. She is alleged to have actively tried to help her husband evade justice.

We aren't in a position to judge the strength of the evidence the police has. It's likely to be more than an assumption. I don't know if she is likely to get bail at her hearing in March.

The crimes SK is accused of (two counts of murder and arson) will have been investigated by police before he was charged.

I think you may be confusing the 'investigation' with what will happen at his trial, when the evidence will be put to a jury? You are right that the charges aren't proven until a jury decides he is guilty.
