GUILTY UK - Dr. Saman Mir Sacharvi, 49, & Vian Mangrio, 14, found dead, Reedley, 1 Oct 2020 *ARREST*

  • #141
A handyman told detectives that an ancient supernatural spirit named Robert lived at the home of a murdered psychiatrist and her 14-year-daughter, a court has heard.

[...]

Also recovered from the address was a phone which contained internet searches for “what is dna” and “can we get dna from burn bodys for investigations”, Preston Crown Court heard.

[...]

He later explained he had been visited by someone called Robert who held him by his throat and banged his head against the wall.

Prosecutor David McLachlan QC said: “He will tell you that Robert was, and is, a jinn. The jinn in Islamic faiths is probably best translated as a supernatural spirit and it was Shahbaz Khan, we suggest, trying to set up his defence to say he had been attacked in his cell by a supernatural spirit.

“The prosecution say nonsense, absolute nonsense.”

[...]

Khan said both he and the doctor had a mental health condition and she would hit her daughter and pull her hair, forcing him to intervene to break them up.

I'm focusing on what has been reported. We don't know why Khan brought the wine, it may well have been for himself.

I'd say it's pretty normal to call emergency services when you see a house fire.

When interviewed by detectives the next day, he made jerking movements and told them his name was Robert Smith Wood, he was 620-years-old and he lived at the home address of Dr Saman, the court heard.

Khan said whenever he went to the house in Colne Road he saw Robert and Rita, another apparent jinn.

He said Dr Saman told him Robert had broken a mirror because he was angry an extension had been built in “his area” and that he kept moving the dining-room table.

[...]

He said that when he left the house Miss Mangrio was upstairs and Dr Saman was in the kitchen chatting to Rita and Robert.

I'm surprised there's not a lot more interest in this case

My focusing interest in direct evidence.

Oh the guy even doesn’t know what is DNA..
How DNA search connects to the murder incident...
any direct solid evidence provided by prosecution?

He searched 'can we get DNA from burn bodys for investigations'

It's clear why he searched that. He didn't want his DNA found on them after he (allegedly) killed them.

Edit- Actually I think I misread your post.

It looks to me as if he set the fire so that it wouldn't look like they had been murdered, not so much to destroy DNA, although could be both reasons. Then he panicked because the fire didn't take hold and police announced they were launching a murder investigation a day later, which prompted the phone searches for finding DNA on "burn bodys"

In my opinion he searched it being a inquisitive or out of curiosity. Because firstly he searched what is DNA, secondly searched how to find DNA in burnt bodys.
I think , following sequence wise information is better to make sense , rather picking own interest news and give views on it to look situation sensational.

Follow the sequence ;
First he searched what is DNA,
After getting what is DNA about , he looked for can we get DNA from burn bodies for the investigations.

I really don't mean to sound disrespectful or argumentative but to suggest that him searching the internet for information on DNA (and whether DNA can be recovered from burnt bodies) is purely coincidental is absolutely ludicrous, in my opinion.

Being a member of Websleuths, yes, we all search some dodgy stuff that probably wouldn't look great if the police ever searched our internet history... But if you've just been to someone's house, and then the person/people who live in that house are found murdered, and the stove has been left on to cause a fire, and then the police find "can we recover DNA from burned bodies" in your internet search history... Come on. It doesn't take a huge leap of the imagination to put 2+2 together on this one, in my opinion again, of course.

Edit: typo

There is mention of the wine and smoothie in most articles. Could he have spiked the drinks with a sedative? I get the feeling these drinks play a big part in evidence. Moo

Well everyone keeps independent opinion.
As per my thinking when you know someone or recent interaction and you heard ,saw or read good or bad about them humans get inquisitive, curious. And he did same. It’s a unintentional act searching about DNA.

It’s not mentioned in news Wine & smoothies bottles were open.
Its highly inappropriate in Muslim Asian culture to offer wine.

Well robbery and murder, and being in Dr Saman's bedroom with her, are probably not culturally appropriate either. Brringing wine is minor in comparison.
