GUILTY UK - Eleanor Williams, 19, from Barrow, made false sex trafficking and abuse claims, May 2020

The bruises are in strange places too. Not consistent with sexual attack (usually inside and outer thighs) or being beaten up (most people would curl up instinctively and bruises would be on the arms, back, outer thighs). That's not to say she's done them herself, just it doesn't really match her account and I'm guessing the police have thought the same. MOO

Gosh! Just read this.
That's some serious damage inflicted there, by whom, is yet to be seen.

Those bruises are horrific. I don’t understand how anyone could self-inflict those.

This is one of those cases where the Websleuths ban on discussing social media, while usually a good thing, is a little frustrating when the mainstream media are only interested in presenting one side of the story. From the MSM reports and injury photographs alone it seems utterly bizarre that it's ended up with this charge, and obvious that there's more to the story.

I want to say more but will come up against rules if I do... hopefully it's ok to say that I found using Google image search (I needed to add the town name to avoid some actress or something) to find the injury photos turned out to be very interesting.

Yes I agree. I believe there is more to this story than what is being reported in MSM.

IMO

Not entirely sure if this news source is allowed on WS but it's got a list of the charges plus some quotes from the men who have been accused by EW. I've paraphrased some of the article below ~

PA BARROW woman has appeared in court accused of falsely alleging five men had raped her.

The 19-year-old has been charged with seven counts of perverting the course of justice relating to seven allegations made between 2017 and 2020.

Between October 2017 and January 2018 Williams is accused of making false allegations to the police and falsifying evidence about an allegation of rape and sexual assault which had a tendency to pervert the course of public justice.

Between March 2019 and October 2019 she is accused of making false allegations to the police and falsifying evidence about an allegation of rape which had a tendency to pervert the course of public justice.

Between May 2019 and October 2019 she is accused of two counts of making false allegations to the police and falsifying evidence about an allegation of rape which had a tendency to pervert the course of public justice.

Between June 2019 and July 2019 she is accused of two counts of making false allegations to the police and falsifying evidence about an allegation of rape and sexual assault which had a tendency to pervert the course of public justice.

Between July 2019 and October 2019 she is accused of making false allegations and falsifying evidence about an allegation of sexual assault and trafficking which had a tendency to pervert the course of public justice.

Meanwhile the owner of the Mithali Takeaway has responded to the allegations made against him and others:

“This has destroyed so many people’s lives. I felt sick to my stomach when I heard about the allegations this week."

Has she been medically examined, I wonder? As in, are her injuries said to be faked or her report, or both I wonder.

Well, if she is lying, it's several years worth of lying and making up rape and abuse stories....why would someone do that for so long if it wasn't real?

A lot of these northern English towns have big problems with Asian grooming gangs (Rotherham was huge) and makes me wonder if the police are in cahoots with it all and/or are under pressure to deny allegations, then respond with counter-allegations of their own to discourage any more women to come forwards.

What a mess. The UK is a horrid place sometimes. The corruptions and cover-ups are so bad.

I may be making a fool of myself but I believe she was abused.

With this in mind, I won't make a particular comment on this case but I will say that there have been apps around for years where you can touch up photos with realistic looking scars and bruises (if you don't apply the effect too heavily).

This example from 2015: Scar Booth app under fire from anti-violence charities

That's not to mention all the youtube tutorials, photo filters and halloween make-up.

No they really don't.

Saying that northern English towns have a big problem with Asian grooming gangs is like saying the north has a problem with GPs murdering their patients based on the crimes of one Harold Shipman.

As a Northerner, I can confirm that the vast majority of the Asian population here is law abiding and would find such crimes repulsive. For every town with a grooming scandal there are neighbouring towns (also with high Asian populations) that have no such problems. I used to live near the borough of Rochdale which had a grooming scandal involving one takeaway. It's notable that all the other takeaways in that area (run by Asian business owners) had no such problem. Ditto, taxi drivers working for one particular firm.

What this boils down to is an isolated s***bag becoming friends with and associating with other scumbags, thus forming a gang. Like other criminal gangs. Race should not even get a mention here.

I think that areas with high levels of poverty and deprivation (like the towns where there have been grooming scandals) will also have a lot of kids with nobody to look out for them, in which case the duty to look after them falls to the local council and/or the police. And where do these kids usually hang out? On the streets, outside takeaways.

I believe the race card was played by the police to deflect from their failure to investigate, but I also know (from experience) that GMP was failing to investigate other forms of crime over the same time period. The race card was played by the council because it failed to protect girls under their care, but we know that that particular council (together with the police) has a long history of covering up historic child abuse (Knowl View) which only came to light because it involved a prominent politician. The race card was played by the perps hoping it would serve as a defence. The race card was used by racists seeking to sow division in society. All of them opportunists.

You never hear anyone say, "Oh look, it's another white paedophile ring grooming victims online!" - What does that tell you about most white people who use the internet?

Race has no bearing on these crimes.

It’s also the usual ignorant stereotyping of “the north” as one large homogeneous area cut of from the rest of civilisation by...something?

I think the last few weeks should have shown that bad things do happen south of Leeds, and they are even done by white men!

'Disgusting' - Councillor 'teased over dad's death' in harassment case

Interesting. The mother of the accused is apparently a local councillor, so not the usual demographic of a vulnerable kid on the streets.

Reading between the lines ...

Uhhh after having a look at this and some google/social media searches, this whole thing stinks of small town politics, feuds and racism. The guy named in this article is the same guy that has been accused of running the supposed grooming gang and has had his name dragged all over social media. He was also previously falsely accused of taking pictures of children from his ice cream van. He goes by Mo Rammy too.
