According to Lisa O'Carroll, BB also had 3 previous convictions for intimidating a witness, and a previous conviction for attempted robbery when himself and others tried to hold up a service station at knifepoint.

Why was this man even at large? Let alone given custody of children.

Absolutely useless sentence. She'll be free to live her life after less than two years.

She'll still be young enough to repeat the cycle with another abusive man.

It certainly is.

I am wondering if it's low due to DV being the mitigation.
(I need to re- find the link for that last big case where DV didn't mitigate. )

My problem with this verdict is that she basically facilitated the abuse through her continual deceptions since 2007.
She took to deception like a duck to water, not necessarily under duress.
Look at the benefits fraud and the persistent lying over that ( thread 1 for newbies)

We have followed every item on this case and the pattern revealed sinc 2007 is that she WILL get preg. again

They will even be able to have conjugal - apols if that mental image is too much - but there it is.

Butler’s conviction for the murder of Ellie simply underlined what they already knew.

“He was not a good dad,” said one neighbour, speaking to the Guardian on condition of anonymity during the trial. “He was a vile human being.

“I saw him one day walking to school with Ellie, swearing at her for wetting herself. There is a reason why she was wetting herself. She was petrified of him.”
