Yeah, the no jury trials proposal was crazy.

Ah thankyou LB! What usually happens in a preliminary hearing? Is it just to enter a plea?

Trial has now started Emma Faulds murder trial: Mum tells how she reported daughter missing

I am very curious to see what his defence is going to be. If it was an accident or some kind of fight that got out of hand why did he not call the police? Hiding the body implies he needed to hide his actions.

I wonder does he know he has very little chance of getting off but he is just chancing it as he knows well what prison is like and how other prisoners will view him.

Donald Findlay,defence, doesn't come cheap!
Don't know if it will be funded by legal aid, but Monkton where the defendant lived has very many large detached fairly newbuild houses

You really can’t tell based on where someone lives. I’ve lived in posh areas whilst earning very little.

I’m glad he got DF - he certainly won’t be able to claim he had a bad defence lawyer afterwards.

Emma Faulds: Mother alerted police over daughter's disappearance

Under cross-examination by defence QC Donald Findlay Mrs Faulds accepted that her daughter was "a party girl" who like to drink.

Mr Findlay said: "The ladies and gentlemen of the jury are going to hear she was a cocaine user."

Sounds like his defense is going to be party went wrong.

Trial started today donald findlay qc not cheap still says emmas death was by means unknown. He was dealing cocaine apparently and emma was using it apparently, i think he may say she took cocaine and died and he panicked, but on the other hand maybe not as he is denying any involvement and claims emma went home to her own house

Emma Faulds mother tells court she reported daughter missing

Prosecutors allege he disposed of Emma’s mobile phone, clothing and belongings and carried out an online search about blood and how to remove vehicle tracking.

I wonder what will unfold today. It certainly seems to me, at this early stage, they have a mountain of evidence against him.

Cop chokes up as he tells Emma Faulds murder trial of moment he found her body

A POLICEMAN choked up today as he told a murder trial how he found the body of missing 39-year-old Emma Faulds in a remote forest area.

Detective constable Ben Pacholek was giving evidence at the trial of Ross Willox who denies murdering Emma at his home at Fairfield Park, Monkton, Ayrshire, on April 28, 2019, by means unknown.
