Interesting defence speech. If there is no proof she was killed then how did her body end up buried in woodland? Also, does anyone know if the accused took the stand? I wondered if he would try say she overdosed accidentally but if that were case why would you go to such lengths to hide her body and evidence? Anyone get a feeling there is more info about this crime that for some reason hasn't been shared publicly?

Emma Faulds murder: Former prison officer Ross Willox found guilty

Det Insp Crombie described the killer as "a selfish, arrogant monster" and said he compounded the agony of Emma's loved ones by failing to admit his crime.

He added: "They are still heartbroken and I know they miss her terribly every day. To put her family through that is unforgivable."

RIP Emma. I hope the family have some closure.

Delighted to see this verdict. I didn’t doubt for a second he was guilty. What a horrid man.

Wonder if there will be any interesting scoops in the paper tomorrow now it’s no longer sub justice.

I seen the very damning CCTV clip of him sat in Emma's car, in the driving seat, cleaning the steering wheel. But I cant seem to find the article now.
Yes, what a horrid man, throw away the key.

So pleased with the verdict. RIP Emma. I did think after the trial more info might've been in the media regarding possible motive etc. Such an unusual case, why would you murder your friend of 18 years? I hope her family have some closure now that she has justice.

RW got 20 years minimum. Seems short considering all the lies and his complete lack of remorse.

So was this Emma he was referring to? Or someone else? I can't see the article on my PC it won't load.

20 years is pathetic
It was someone else back in 2008.

I really do hope he now will finally just admit what on earth happened that night. The game is up now anyway and it could possibly help him get out after the minimum 20 years if he shows real remorse.
