Does anyone have a British Newspaper Archive subscription? Seems to be a few articles on a Fraser Kilpatrick in Irvine from 1984-1986 for petty crime. Also a couple from 78-79 when he lived in Kilmarnock.

Not that far from the spot where Shona was attacked. If it is the same person. Local chatter is that it is him. He was known locally as Freaky Frank. Was forced to leave the area.

He could have come and gone from the scene without being seen on the back paths and along the river. The murder weapon might be in the river.
