Potential life sentence.

Judicial euphemisms.
He is named multiple times and in photos in the Epstein files. Here in the U.S. we saw virtually nothing exculpatory, but we did see him. Probably because he isn't in our government or Hollywood.

I never believed we would see this day... Of course, I always believed in his guilt, but I really thought he would, somehow, escape justice. Guess not, huh? I fully support his arrest and, if found guilty, a long and lonely incarceration.

My first thoughts are with the victims - I hope they can, somehow, find peace.

Is this comment about today's charges of "misconduct in public office", or discussions in an earlier thread?
Misconduct in public office refers to "serious wilful abuse or neglect" of powers relating to the role in public office, according to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS).

Statement from the King:

We have just received a statement from the King following Andrew's arrest. Here it is in full:

I have learned with the deepest concern the news about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and suspicion of misconduct in public office.

What now follows is the full, fair and proper process by which this issue is investigated in the appropriate manner and by the appropriate authorities.

In this, as I have said before, they have our full and wholehearted support and co-operation.

Let me state clearly: the law must take its course.

As this process continues, it would not be right for me to comment further on this matter.

Meanwhile, my family and I will continue in our duty and service to you all. Charles R.

Did anybody else notice that at no point in that statement does KCIII use the word brother.

In other words, you really are on your own, Andy.

Reports have emerged the former Prince Andrew has been arrested by police at his home near the Sandringham Estate. The BBC has reported eight officers arrived in six Metropolitan Police vehicles and have taken Andrew into custody. The arrest is allegedly related to potential misconduct in public office during his time as a UK trade envoy, with suggestions that he may have improperly shared privileged information, potentially with Jeffrey Epstein. While the details are still unfolding, this development marks a significant turn in the ongoing scrutiny surrounding Andrew's ties to Epstein and the accusations against him.

It’s this sharing of confidential information that’s going to bring people down, not the actual sex crimes. Which is fine I guess, as long as they are brought down. Epstein supplied the very means whereby he could blackmail officials and get info. Now they are all covering for each other.🤮

Justice delayed is justice denied, but I'll take any justice I can get these days...

Well, he may not have to worry about where his next meal is coming from or not having servants to assist in his daily life.

This could be very interesting.

MOO
But what about his teddy bears?! Someone please think of the teddy bears! 😁

It's refreshing to know that some countries still hold their public officials accountable for their misconduct.

So it's more of a public corruption arrest than an arrest for sex crimes. I guess something is better than nothing.

In this country, public office misconduct and perverting the course of justice are deemed to be more serious than sex offences. As strange as it sounds. On a sex offence charge, he'd probably serve a year, if that. On this current charge, he's looking at the rest of his life banged up (in the event he is guilty).

Obviously it's a serious charge yet life appears to be a bridge too far.

Reporting from London
'The charge of misconduct in public office, which is what Mountbatten-Windsor is being investigated for, carries a maximum sentence of life imprisonment, according to Britain’s Crown Prosecution Service.'

Is he still being held or was he released on bond or on his own recognizance?

Historically important criminals have been locked up in the Tower of London. One can hope. :)
His ex-wife should be locked-up with him. Jmo

So … was this shared information because Andrew was being blackmailed by JE ? I bet a lot of other powerful people are shaking right now! This information has been with authorities for what, decades? and just now being dealt with. MOO
