Possibly staying locally in Swanage with friends ( or in a local hotel ). She may not have wanted to move up to Romsey

If I had a 19yo son who'd been arrested on a murder charge, then plastered all over the national press looking haunted and scared, I'd want to be supporting and protecting him in person.

I don’t know if I’m glad that GE has been advised to put a sock in it or not! The man has been digging some excellent holes for his son.

And how do you reconcile so quickly with a son you've been "estranged" from for three years . . ?

Try 50.6046232,-1.9819966

Sorry? That was the original that I did try. The correct ones were given, later yesterday afternoon.

Must be coming up to their deadline soon for an extension or release.

Regarding the "blue shirt" item of clothing in the photos, could that actually be a "shirt" as opposed to a "blouse" - i.e. a "man's shirt" . . ?

As would have been said in the old west... Looks to me like they are "circling the wagons".

The earliest report I can find of PE's arrest is 4.13pm, so 5 mins...

Legal aid would not be paying for a 'barrister' at this stage. I have the impression GE is funding. RD and NE would likely be eligible for legal aid pensioner/student.

I suspect you’re correct - legal aid won’t cover a direct access barrister & that’s the only way you’d have a barrister onboard at this stage.

Whats interesting is, at this point -ie police station questioning - PE, RD & NE would all have free legal advice as standard, there’s no meanstests or standards to be met until you’re required to appear in court. Yet PE is the only one with a barrister.

The family still want people out looking, which suggests the police haven't told them of any major breakthroughs yet.

I find it odd that it hasn't been announced whether or not the clothes belong to Gaia?
If the clothes do belong to Gaia it doesn't necessarily mean she was wearing them when she dumped them there. If she has run away then what better way to get the police to keep looking in the wrong place than to leave your clothes near a cliff before disappearing.

I was thinking along these lines earlier, but that'd mean she'd have to have disappeared naked without a phone. Seems pretty unlikely. Otherwise, she'd have had to go somewhere else (again, no phone to contact anyone and no sightings of her), get someone to give her other clothes to wear, help her get her away from the area and then return to plant the clothes.

It's not impossible but it's be a logistical challenge, even more so for someone suffering paranoia, frequent severe seizures and a mental health breakdown. And anyone who could have been convinced to help would now be seeing people getting arrested for murder and her family going through hell, and would be facing criminal charges themselves...

I find it more odd that they are allowing the public to help search for Gaia. Usually they prefer to keep public away if they know the victim is likely to be found dead.

Definitely agree. Why would they do this? Because they still believe she could be alive and in hiding?

Yes they're organising a line search for tomorrow on the FIND GAIA Facebook page, i'm surprised the policre are allowing it!
